Looking to replace my Cally PM grind lob wedge

It's 60 degrees with 10* bounce and I've decided I want a regular clubhead shape

Unsure whether to go 10*S or 08*M

Just wrapped up a Titleist Thursday wedge fitting. First week they’ve opened that back up here in Texas. Here’s what I was fit for.

    52.08 F - 56.08 M - 60.04 L. Went with raw finish and tour issue S400s

I’m actually really surprised by my results. Didn’t expect to be going this low in bounce but the results spoke for themselves. I’ve only been playing 1 year. But I’ve been taking lessons and am shooting consistently low 90s. I’ve always heard more bounce for beginners. But I guess with the really firm conditions I play in these fit me better. Was definitely able to pull off some shots that are really hard for me to pull off with my current setup.

Now hop on 3balls, ebay, whatever and pick up some slightly used SM7s or even SM6 and save enough to buy another set in a season or two.

While I would normally do that it’s actually pretty important for me to stamp these with some phrases my grandpa used to say and the SM8 profile fits stamping long phrases a lot better.

He passed away back in October and was a huge golfer. Never got to play with him for real after picking up golf in June. It’s going to be my little nod to him.

For those who use a 54* in the bunker.. How would you say the M grind differs from the S grind?

And which is easier to use?

How does a low bounce K and the “A” grind compare?

With the lower bounce how does it play on square faced full/pitch shots? Does the bounce play low with a square face or a bit higher for these? Loved the K grind in the past but the bounce was too much. Have played D the past year but want a lower bounce so was pretty set on ordering an S grind but the low bounce K is really tempting.

What do you think about adding the handground trailing edge and heel relief on the low bounce K? Would that be overkill or defeat the purpose of the wide sole, low bounce?

I have a regular low bounce K now and love it and will be ordering one of these new ones for sure! Best wedge I’ve found.

I think the trailing edge relief would be a little too much but the heel relief would be really solid to me.

I called Vokey and they said the trailing edge relief would remove about 1.5 degrees of bounce, heel relief would allow the face to be opened up easier. I figured I’ll give both a try and see what happens!

I may have to get one. Ive been loving the 54/S. Personally think they actually feel a little better then the SM7s and look great

Why not just get the M Grind? Already has the heel and trailing edge relief.

Hmm, I didn’t realize that. I thought the LBK had a wider sole with more camber. I’ll have to look into that. I appreciate you mentioning that.

Any issues with getting a 58 low bounce K and bending it to 59? I know would add one degree of bounce but would leading edge sit to high off the ground if so?

Any idea what the bounce plays on that? I really like this idea and might do the same.

Would the low bounce K in 58 be a good bunker club for a sweeper? Or would you suggest a different grind?

I’m more of a digger but I can’t imagine a much better bunker option for most players.
