your current (new) favorite wedges and why??

I like to have 2 sets of clubs for when I feel like switching things up. On the weekends ill use the same clubs consistently since they're the ones that were fitted for me, but like everyone on here im a club ho and love trying everything. Im off before 3pm during the week so ill go walk 9 holes usually with my backup bag

Im currently playing TM MG2 wedges and love them. I dont plan on moving them from the bag but curious what new wedges you guys have and how you like them. I know rtx4 and sm7 have new ones still coming out, but im really intrigued with the MD5 jaws or Mizuno t20. I live in Chicago so most of my rounds are played on softer turf. Im leaning towards the Jaws wedges bc of all the grind options but ive never played a Callaway wedge.

Let me know what you guys like/dislike!! Thanks

I may be in the minority but I'm loving the Hi-toes. Started with the lob wedge last season, and liked it enough to get the 50* and 54* wedges as well. Feel like I can hit every trajectory I need to with them and distance control is more reliable with them than any other set I've played. The stock shaft (KBS Hi-Rev 2.0) feels great to me and I haven't had to tinker much.

Ping Glide 3.0.

The consistency and amount of spin I get from them is amazing. Then throw in the performance and spin from wet conditions it becomes a no brainer since I mostly play early in the morning right after the sprinklers turn off :).

I still have my PM Grind 19 wedges as well, and while they are the most versatile wedge I have played, I finally realized that I am more consistent with a traditional wedge because with the PM grind I let my shot imagination run wild. And this often led to me trying to pull off a more difficult shot than was needed.

I have new Cleveland CBX wedges in 52 and 56 even though a low handicapper. The wedges are solid, with a enough forgiveness to help us amateurs. The way I look at it for me is why would I play p770 cavity back irons and blade wedges. In the past I have played blade wedges but this change has vastly improved my short game.

Primary set was some PM grinds from a few years back, then got a MD4 with less bounce to help with some tighter lie/chipping.

Building out a second 'fun/travel' set of clubs as a early Xmas present to moi, I began with a set of of Miura 1008s, then happened upon a Miura wedge set on BST.

I now have a problem: they are just so lovely how do I not game them all the time? I know I know, answer is get a second set.

1 club ahead of you....

The Glide 3.0 really intrigues me also. Seeing all the YouTube reviews really opened my eyes. My permanent tee times are 6:15 and 6:07 on weekends during the middle of summer so im usually battling dew and wet ground on the front 9. I loved the Glide Forged when I had them

I bought my old man 3 new CBX 2 wedges and I really love how those look! I agree with you on the cavity part. Im capable of gaming blades successfully although I probably shouldn't, the MMC's I just bought seem to be the right fit..... but cavity wedges do make a lot of sense to me. Might as well hit those this week while trying new wedges

Hi since getting my SM7s a year ago my short game has improved dramatically. While they are great wedges i attribute a lot to getting properly fitted for my wedges for the first time. I noticed improvement straight away and this has increased my confidence as well.

Picked up some new scratch wedges this summer. I know they are not “new”, but they are new to me. They have been pretty incredible so far. However, if we are talking latest and greatest, the mg2 are very intriguing. Not so much because of the face, more because of the shape. They look fantastic at address.

If you are looking for something different and want to have fun, give the Miura K grind wedges a try. The ones with the knuckles at the back. Amazingly well balanced, soft and solid, and perform like a dream. I got them for pretty much the same reason as you, but they quickly made their way to the main bag.

went to pga store and hit the mizuno t20 and md5 Jaws. After looking at reviews, YouTube reviews, and even simply the looks I was set on the Jaws being the winner..... well after hitting both, the t20 for me was much more consistent. It sucks hitting wedges off a mat but I had plenty of thin/ bladed shots with the Jaws. Even clean strikes were about average. The T20 however was much much better. I hit 30, 50, and 75 yard chips with a 52 and 60 for both clubs. I loved the t20. It consisntelty had more spin, but also a much lower flight like I prefer

Its only December and I probably won't see outside again until march/April but right now id lean towards the t20. Still going to try out the glide 3.0 and hopefully the SM8's come out soon. The last 2 offerings from Vokey have been pretty underwhelming for me. They feel very clicky

Ive always wanted to try some JDM wedges too but thats a big investment since most of them are just the heads being shipped.

Wow that looks beautiful in hand!! During Black Friday Miura had I think either 10 or 15% off clubs. I built a wedge on there a few time and didnt pull the trigger..... but yes those really catch my eye!!

Agree with each of you on the 2.0's, the stealth look amazing and the finish is holding up pretty well. Even on my 54* which I use from the bunkers.

Ended up switching to set wedges this year and am happy with my decision. I play 718 AP1s. The PW is 43 so I got the 48 GW and 53 AW. I previously had the SM7s in these lofts (in the wrong bounce admittedly) and couldn't do anything with them. Put my ego aside and got the set wedges to help me on full shots. It's turned out to be one of the wiser golf equipment decisions I've made, even though it's not sexy. I have a SM7 in 58 that is my 70 yard and in club and for nearly anything that requires loft around the green. I liked the Vokey better than the Mack Daddy during my fit. Jaws sounds cool, but I'm seeing way too many good things about the Glide 3 to ignore it (there was also a ton of hype around the Glide 2). That's what I'll look to try after the new year.

Just ordered some MD3’s (2 for 100 bucks in mint condition) so now they will be my favorite. The price makes me smile.

My Vega VW 10’s raw black. Awesome. Even better with the Paderson Kinetixx wedge shafts in them. 120 gram and feel great. Shafts are Low- Mid trajectory with plenty of spin. Actually surprising how these suckers spin. Ive hit some super low, spinning like heck wedge shots with these. The grind fits my game well. Loads of confidence with these in my hands. Carry 52 and 58. I have a 60 also I can put in but just dont need to carry it much. 58 is plenty low loft for my needs. And gaps are right.

T20. I will say they are a liiiitttleeee on the larger side, but the feel and spin I can get from wet or rough lies makes up for that. I believe they are also very forgiving because of the slightly bigger head shape/size. I'm getting a wedge fitting end of next week so I'll probably have a new favorite (or maybe T20 will remain king).

I will say though, I am very biased toward T20 or Glide 3.0s. I've seen a bunch of different data sources all show these 2 wedges in particular are the best when the ball and turf are wet.
