I noticed that the 2018 version is out right now in Europe....except I think they made a mistake with the price, it's selling in some stores for the equivalent of $10US more a dozen than the ProV1

I played the Duo U today for the first time and it was fine off the tee and on approach shots but I could not stand the feel while putting. It felt like I was putting a ping pong ball and everything was ridiculously short. Probably what I am used to but they were back in the bag after 4 holes.

If Wilson had brought this ball to market in yellow two years ago it would have been a tremendous success. Perhaps with Callaway upping the price of their premium balls they may still have an opportunity to make more of an impact.

    Softer and less spin.

It is softer than the MTB Black. Not quite as long as the Black off the driver. Irons are comparable distance wise. Spin around the green was also very similar for me.

one more question. Is it springy/jumpy off putter like regular Duo?

Not as springy, but on the more springy side of tour balls. Similar to the chrome soft in my experience

I play it occasionally if the temps are a little colder. I play the FG Tour more than the DuoU

Softer and great feel. A joy off all club.

The cover is VERY thin, so a bad tree or cart path can really jack up a cover. Good part is the thin cover helps with the soft feel, bad part is durability.

Really like this ball I must say

I did the same thing, buying two dozen not having tried them. Been pleased with them so far, may pick up another couple dozen, in fact.

I've proven once again that anything over 44.5" or even 44.25" is a horrible fit for my tee game

Not usually a fan of really soft balls but couldn't pass up 2 dozen for $29 shipped. I'll give them a whirl.

I also purchased 2 dozen. I’ve got about 10 dozen balls laying around and told myself I wasn’t going to buy anymore. This deal is too good to pass up.

i wanted to like this ball so much, played one day for a couple holes, but it just isnt for me, the feel i guess is hollow, thats just me, feel is subjective, and it had to be exceptional to beat out the avx

Just did 18 holes. This ball is LEGIT.

I love the sticky urethane cover and it was very good performance all around.

Played new qst and this ball trumps it hands down.

The Duo U was featured on the Wilson Facebook page the other day and I commented, “if this ball came in yellow it would be the number 1 selling ball!

    Wilson’s response “stay tuned”

Has anyone else noticed how easily the cover acquires permanent grass stains? Well, if you leave an uncleaned ball in the bag for a few days anyway.

Also, it's not very durable. I might still end up liking the ball, but those are two quick impressions.

Wilson urethane covers are notorious for dulling/yellowing/staining. Does not affect performance though.

I don't know about bigmoney but I got 'em first off the Hurricane Golf website for $12.49 plus $9.99 shipping and again off of eBay for $12.49 and $3.99 shipping. Bought four dozen the first time and seven the next time as I gave a couple from the first batch to my brother and a neighbor friend to try and they each wanted a couple dozen so I added them to my next order.

I normally play Srixon XV's and although I do think that the Duo U feels/sounds much softer than the XV I can't tell a lick of difference in performance.

Distance, spin and trajectory seem the same to me.

Also a little surprised to hear some of the negative comments regarding durability as I thought just the opposite. I absolutely drilled a tree dead center the other day and there wasn't a mark or discoloration visible anywhere on the ball. I've also bounced two off of concrete cart paths and while one showed a minor scrape the other one was perfect.

I have noticed a bit of the grass stain effect that some alluded to but it wipes off with a damp towel which I always use prior to putting anyways. Just seems to be a little different look than normal grass stains - a faint green hue that almost looks like paint to me.

As I said though, no big deal as it comes right off for me.
