Ping G410

It won’t get any better than the Max and LS I currently have. I am however down for the hybrids, been waiting for an adjustable one so I can swap shafts easily.

Why would you need an Sf tec model if the std Head has oveable weights ? wouldn't you be able to move it to the draw side ?

If they are able to create a head that is 445 with movable weights AND increase the MOI that would be crazy...Then if the new adapter could be like Titleist in that loft and lie can be adjusted independently, even better!

After a meeting with the local Ping Rep he confirmed that Ping will be releasing the G410 range of clubs during the PGA show this winter. I got to look at them but pictures were strictly forbidden. I will update with pictures if I get a chance. Not much has changed on the clubs appearance wise but apparently the MOI is higher then the G400 through out the range. Don't know how this is possible but that's what they are saying. If anyone else has any info I would love to hear it!

Because some of us are a bit skeptical. Why would a Ping Rep show photo’s of a finished product 6 months before the advertizing blitz ? Why is it called “410” when you already have “500” irons out and no G500 driver’s etc.

Sounds like - whether new tech or just a slight evolution - this'll be a win-win for those who have gotten on well with the G400 line... A newer option in the G410 and a cheaper option in the existing G400...

First off, I have not seen any pics or know anything more than what I've read in this thread.

 

So with that "my thought" of G410 iron would be just a bigger i210, while i500, G700 are hollow heads, and the I200/210 and G400/410 are the normal style kind of tradional non-hollow bodied style irons that Ping is known previously and fit a group of players not wanting a hollow bodied head style.

I was at my local golf course over the weekend talking to my pro about my hunt for new irons. Was explaining to him that I had been fit for the G400 and 919 HM at different demo days. He told me to come see him at the beginning of November because Ping was releasing the G410 and the G400s would be dropping in price. He said he thought the driver would be going down to $250. He hadn't seen any pictures of them yet but they were going to be a direct replacement for the G400. According to him, the G400 line wasn't going anywhere and would remain on the market for another 2 years and custom orders could still be made.

I was hoping for something really different for the G series iron line. And I know better because Ping rarely makes huge changes with new releases. I don't hate them but I just don't care for the thin hot faces on the G's and G400's. Guess I was hoping for something different in that area.
