All time classic shafts

Im still gaming my OG blueboard 83 in my 3 wood and still love it as much as the day i got it. It can be bought now for less than 50 bucks which got me thinking, what are some more of the premium great shafts of the past 10-15 years that maybe have now gotten passed up but still every bit as good and could be had for pretty cheap?

The Grafalloy Pro Lite was arguably the most dominant shaft in the history of golf for a short period of time. It was more or less made specifically to go into the original titanium Great Big Bertha drivers back in the 90's; anybody who was serious about golf had that driver, and immediately had the Callaway stock shaft, which was just not very good, pulled and replaced with the Pro Lite. My understanding was the Tour pros had a version that was painted to look like it was the Callaway stock shaft. It wasn't uncommon in a foursome of serious amateurs to the two or three or even all four of the players with that driver and that shaft.

I'll add to this sort of a quirky choice, and that's the Fujikura shaft that went into the Cleveland Launcher driver and fairways. As I remember it, this was the first time a major manufacturer had put a shaft in as stock that was clearly better than standard stock shafts of the day. It started a trend toward more and better options for shafts, including the "made for" shafts that are so controversial on this site. It wasn't a great shaft by today's standards, but it was WAY better than other stock shafts of the day.

Grafalloy Pro Lyte (reddish brown color) - surprisingly effective.

Aldida Voodoo series xs7? - A little squishy, spiny

Aldida NV - early low spinner

GD ys Series - very accurate but not super long

Hogan Apex 3 - 4 - solid, stable, cool red label.

Project x 5.0 flighted - often too stout, try the softer flex

Ahhh... didn't read the end of your initial post. AD-DI has had amazing staying power though. It has been on the market for almost 10 years now and still retails for over $300. That's pretty impressive.

As far as classic budget shafts: UST VTS Black/Silver/Red is a great series. Still have a 7Red in my G25 fairway wood. It's the oldest club in my bag!

I still enjoy my original Diamana Blueboard 83 x5ct, "S" in 3 wood. Tiger used it in his driver for a long time. Not sure how long I can still make it work but so far so good. Don't know how much they sell for these days.

Nothing has been used longer than Dynamic Gold. As for graphite, OG 757 and Pro95, Proforce V2, NV, and 1st gen Diamana are all still played today.
