2020 Bag is Set Challenge!!!

LOL, I conveniently forgot about this thread!

I was out on March 27 - took delivery of three beautiful wedges from Joe Kwok! No, elbow hasn't healed, can only hit little chips/greenside pitches, totally went against everything I was going to follow for getting new wedges, haha.

Not posting pics at this point because I can't really use them and enjoy them until I can make even half swings so that will have to wait several more weeks (recovery isn't tracking with the Dr.'s rosy predictions, but that's ok). All I can say is they are real and they are spectacular!

Looking back, I was so close... Fairway wood and putter are all that have changed. Ping Anser 4W is super solidly in the bag. If I had found that magnificent club a couple weeks earlier, I'd likely have stuck with my putter just because of the BIS challenge.

I think I've finished putter-hunting. Evnroll ER3 is now in the bag. It has been great in my garage, but I can't wait to get out on the course to use it. My post-COVID bag is set!

Probably will eventually change a shaft in my 3i before year is done, but I do really like that 3i.

Ping has helped me out by not putting out new product. Which is nice...until they put something out. I'm on yr 2 of driver. Year 3 of putter, year two of irons and wedges.

Tried a hybrid for a while and a different 4 wd...last year. Didn't work out. But 6 mos in...same exact bag. Hell, same golf bag, type of golf ball (and same personalization). Perhaps I'm not good for this type of competition as I'm a creature of habit.

Again, until Ping puts out the next line of G drivers, i500s or they make another putter as pretty as the vault anser 2.

Another failure to remain club loyal....

Came across an Accra TourZ X265 M5 on BST and scratched that itch.....

Tested it against the Proj X Evenflow last nght and the Accra won by a nose....The Proj X wandered a bit on the face but I had a quarter size mark in the middle of the sweet spot with the X265. It is in the bag....for now!! :)

Once I got back out onto the course the Evnroll ER3 was not the answer, Ping Sigma G Piper 3 was the answer (at least for now). Also got a great deal on a Cobra F9 Driver, but that's all that I'm changing this year.... pinkie swear.

Your setup is very similar to mine, so I was trying to figure out how you squeezed in a 2i. I've never been able to bag one without taking something out.

I'm out as of a couple of weeks ago. Went from 16.5* fairway wood and a 3-iron to 14.5* and 19* fairway woods, at least for now. Fairway woods are both Cobra F8+.

I’m not sure I entered but if so, it’s been over since week 1 of my golf starting after the COVID lift . So far 8 clubs replaced. Left alone driver and 6-PW.

As I expected I would do, changed basically the whole bag over again and on the hunt for a couple different fairway woods to play around with.

I wasn't really active here when the challenge started (I come and go), but I try do this anyway :)I didn't make the challenge this year (June 5th is fairly good though), or year before (March), but did in 2017 :P (New putter in 2018, new driver in 2019, new putter, irons, wedges, woods in 2020)Honestly the driver might be out this year, I just hit the Sim more easily and with less spin. Felt I didn't need to fight it as much. In the end I want a driver that I hit easily, while it performs (about) as well. I'm on the course to have fun!

I prefer to just replace wedges in the coming years due to wear. :P

I'm still going... although it's been touch and go for a hot second.

The only thing keeping me in are the side bets - both a buddy and my dad didn't believe this was possible for me so they each put up a hundo that I can't make it until January 1... and I REALLY don't want to pay them.

Well i didnt do so well. Driver and 3 wood, putter and wedges are the same, but replaced the gapr lo with m1 hybrid. Same shaft. Finally bit the bullet and got me some 5-pw 620 cbs. Have a t100 4 iron coming to complete.

I have no idea if I even "set my bag" but I'm out as I had an unplanned wedge change. Also I rotate putters like crazy but I don't count that.
