3rd generation on the Surefit hosel, and I bet they STILL won't sell the adapters on the open market, right?
Probably not. I think it increased the value of any shafts with surefit adapters though, and definitely authentic adapters.
I would be more likely to stick with, or even try out, a newer Titleist driver, if the Surefit adapter was readily available NEW. Even if they were $45 each.

I bailed on 910 because of the difficulty in getting quality tips, when I needed them, for a new fit.
Couldn't agree more. The fact that you can't just buy the adapter drives me crazy.

yup, the sole and alignment aid, remind of the same thing..

Just looking at it, the driver feels like the old Titleist Starship to me for some reason. Can't put my finger on it.

They've invented a black RBZ!!

This club is night and day different from the RBZ.

It's black. :)

I am in the minority here, I like the alignment aid over what is currently available (and I'm playing the 910D2 and 910FD).

I also really liked the compression channel from the VR PRO LE fairways (still have the 5 wood in my bag) so I am interested to see how that technology works on a Titleist driver.

I think the one miss is the graphics on the sole of the club, which will never be a selling point for me, and the weighting system. I think you only need one at the rear, but the ever changing shapes of the weights is getting old.

I'll give it a hit.

They should outline or paint the lines surrounding Titleist on the bottom of the club head in red for a little more color like the 913

My first reaction is "eh"

They copied some current trending features from other brands.

if "classic players look" is being used in a relative sense, then yes it still is when compared directly to other brands.

otherwise in general they're moving away from it.

I'd like to see the normal alignment aid and a bit of red paint since it's all white/black mostly.

Obv the Nike LE comment has been made more then once, and the LE is a solid driver, I've been playing one for awhile.

The appealing thing is the thought of an ADJUSTABLE Nike LE shaped driver. IMO Titleist had to go this direction to get the spin down, it seems like more Titleist guys play 7.5* drivers then any other company. Just a guess but I haven't seen too many Cally, Nike or TM heads in 7.5 loft lately.

The VR Pro LE is one of the drivers I can't seem to sell as it's still a solid driver for me but you're right in that when Titleist offers a 7.5* head it's because it's high launch and high spin and pros need to start with the 7.5* and set it in the 6* range to get their preferred flight and spin.

Head shape looks great. Alignment aid looks cluttered and sole looks like Nike's with a Statue of Liberty theme.

I like it. Looking forward to the 915 fairway woods as well. Felt like the 913 fairways were ok. Def picking a D3 up when it's released.

When the 913 came out, it was anti-climactic for me in terms of looks. Looking just at the pictures, comparing the 913 to the 910, it appeared that all that had changed was the looks. When I got it in my hands and hit it though, I definitely found that it was gave me much better and more consistent results than I was getting with my 910.

Apart from the alignment aid (which is going to have to grow on me as it does look a little funky), I'm really interested to see how these perform as compared to the 913's. Looking down on it, setting aside the alignment aid difference, it seems that you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the 915 and 913 which is not a bad thing in my book. It seems the big question here is whether the active recoil channel makes the face a bit hotter and gives the club a few extra yards.

It looks good, and nice to see a bit of a nod towards technology. I was surprised to see weight so far to the back though. It looks like they focused on high MOI?

I do really like the look of the 915, definitely will give it a head to head against my SLDR.

It really does look like a combo of the 913/VR Pro/Covert

Damm I need a new driver but don't think I can wait till November. Is it normal for manufacturers to release photos and have their tour staff using clubs so far in advance of public release? There haven't been any official photos released of the G30s and from what I read there going to be available shorty
For Titleist it is and I don't know why.... And then another few months for the fairways/hybrids. I really wish Titliest would release the clubs shortly after the photos like other OEM's. By the time the actual club comes out half of the buzz is gone.

the D3 looks great, now I hope to compare this against the other leading low spin heads and see how it compares. Sure looks nice though. Thanks for pics Greg.

I find it interesting that just because there may be some similar AESTHETIC characteristics between the 915 and the Nike LE that people all have to assume that it is the same old tech.

I'm not going to sit here and try to pontificate on similarities when I'm pretty sure that the guys who designed the club know a little bit more about club building than I do.

All I do know is that the 913 performed best for me out of all the drivers on the market, including the SLDR. I like how the 915 looks, and I'm extremely interested to hear them explain exactly what they expect out of their new technology.
