From what I have seen in the past with carbon material in the heads is that the welds and material used bond the carbon and ti together negated the weight savings. IF TM was able to fix that, this could be innovative. We shall see...

R16 or R17? TM has never used an even number in their R series as far as I can remember. R5, R7, R9, R11, R15.

I'm pretty sure its R16 - saw a pic a couple weeks back of a proto headcover. Could all be falsity leaked by TM though.

Not sure why they would name that the r16 if its multi material. Usually for those types of drivers they put a reference to it in name, like M1. The r16 headcover did get released recently though so not sure

It's not an officially announced product yet but only known about due to a bunch of nerds on a golf forum

I'm sure it will be marketed with info being provided etc on the date listed.

It's called creating demand which is what a [s]5[/s] 6 page thread here about a driver that doesn't even exist proves is happening.

I like how it looks like they're using the same tip adapter allowing me to utilize my stockpile of shafts with TM SLDR tips in it. If this is indeed the case I will be getting one.

I can confirm this is true!!!!! The stock pile of shafts will be used for extensive testing for me too!!!
