Yeah this thread has taken an odd turn. I get it if it is from Nike and they charged you the wrong price it's annoying, but it is odd to me that $20 has caused such a firestorm. The non-nike sellers can sell them for more if they want just let it go. You agreed to pay $220 and were happy to do so, now the box says $20 cheaper and you're furious...typical reaction considering our culture today, but it is annoying to everyone who isn't you.

It’s laughable the people going through so much for 20 bucks. If I told you pre sale that if u paid $20 extra you could buy early you all would have jumped at the chance. Get over it. You got your pair, stop crying.

You guys agreed to pay $220 which is the advertised price. It’s not like the website advertised $200 and you were billed $220.

I go to McDonalds and my new comes to $10. I don’t pay them $30. If I did, I’d expect $20 in change.

 

I do agree that the price listed was $220 on the site and they charged me $220. And I’m cool with that. No bait and switch. No gouging. I knew the price when I clicked “BUY”.

 

BUT, just like in Monopoly, “Bank error in your favor, collect $20”, I collect the $20.

 

I don’t feel I was overcharged, I wasn’t. I knew the price before I bought. Sadly though, I still adhere to the adage of “Prices as marked”. If I was at NikeTown and saw the box for $200, it says $200 on the box, then I brought it to the register and they said it’s $220, we’d have a problem for sure. It’s on the manufacturer and the store to list prices clearly and correctly. If they don’t, they should be held accountable.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t pick up a $20 bill. I’m saying the list price was 220 on every single site in North America. Just because the box was mislabeled 200 I wouldn’t bother crying about it. Your time and energy have to be worth something to you. Enjoy your shoes. You know for a fact they are worth every penny of the $220.

i agree,, stop crying and whining.. we got some awesome shoes for $220. they sold out in minutes. i just happened to call about the discrepancy and i just got LUCKY!!! i spent maybe 5 minutes on the phone and she gave me 20% off. i had already decided if it happens great, if not, no big deal. i just threw it out there and got very lucky, to save $47 was just pure luck,, right place right time. if it didn't happen, i wasnt going to sweat about, nor complain.. you guys that keep crying about it, move on

I the morning of release I was on golfposer refreshing my screen on two separate browsers - Chrome & Safari. 2AM CST hit and I added a pair in the Chrome browser and clicked checkout. Page was loading slow so I went to my Safari browser, added a pair and clicked check out. Then Chrome page loaded my checkout page right after. Go back to Chrome about to click Pay with PayPal. Notice 2 size 8’s in the cart. In fear of updating cart to one I just continued and bought both. I guess since I was logged in to my Golfposer account in both browsers it sees it as one cart.

 

Total for 2 pairs of size 8 US from Golfposer: $322.84

Shipping: $52

Total: $374.84 USD

 

I was thrilled to get them, but I don’t need to pairs. Couldn’t post them on the BST because I didn’t have them in hand so I put them on ebay for $350 + $10 shipping. Got full asking price and shipped them for $20.

 

So, in the end, my pair of Jordan Concords costs me $34.84.

 

So yeah, if you can get $20 back from Nike, Just Do It.

I don't think anyone was hammering people who just called and got free money. I was more confused by those who came on and just complained when they couldnt get the money back that, in reality, it isn't necessarily clear they are entitled to. If you spend 20 minutes trying to get $20 back on shoes you knew you were going to spend $220 on, and then complain on here, it is a bit tough to take.

It took me less than 5 minutes on the chat while I was putting my kids down to sleep. Time I would have just been perusing GolfWRX anyway (which I did...). So $20 for my 5 minutes pencils out to $240/hour. Yeah. I'll stop and pick up that $20.

 

I don't think most people are whining or crying. Most people arent outraged. Some people do seem bummed that they were told they wouldnt get a refund and I understand that. It sucks to hear that other people got $20 and they didnt. Others are just wondering if the store that they bought from was giving the refund. Seems like decent questions to put in a thread we all follow to buy Js.

really? i went to the riviera last year in 2018 and that hat was there. my wife and i bought got one....

well just to close the loop on the $200 vs $220 for the concords...

 

i had originally posted about calling nike customer support about this, but i never got the follow up email from them to send the picture of the box, so i just finished chatting with them online.

 

i told the guy online about the pricing discrepancy and he asked me to send the picture of the box during the chat and he immediately credited me $21.55 for them.

 

so might be worth trying the chat support until you get someone who will credit you the $20 difference.
