Anyone heard of/seen/rolled any Tyson Lamb putters?

Having a hard time finding a retail page (or any info other than Insta). Looks like good work—just curios to see if anyone here has any experience with them.

Seems like he is trying to go the high end route only. Almost Scotty Cameron/ Bettinardi style. Last I talked to him he was taking limited orders that started with three zeros.

Looks after Scotty dumped his old pal and distributor Jim Butler (Tablerock Golf Course), Butler tried to promote Tyson. Can't say what happen to that lately.

 

But Tyson has a point regarding his work, as you can see on his Instagram.

His work is top notch and you can easily see the time and quality that goes into milling the heads. IMO he has one of the best Dalehead Anser / 009 head shapes out right now.

 

He has an agreement with Jim Butler of Table Rock Golf, who used to be one of Scotty Cameron's distributors, to sell his putters. I reached out to Jim to inquire about them but there is nothing set in stone as to when everything will move forward.

 

The starting price point on Lamb's putters are $1,200+

I think he makes some of the nicest stuff around. Best anser style putters around anyways. They are clean designs in general. 1200 seems a bit steep for me, I might check out a cameron by that point....resale would be a bit easier!

His quality is amazing and I understand the price point given his quantities. That said I feel like some of his slogans/stamping a "borrow" more than usual from other makers. If you're into high end milled putters might be cool to buy an early model from an upstart.

If he wanted your business he would have gotten back to you.

 

I have no doubt he's targeting the Asian market where asking for more $ actually makes the putter more desirable. Unless he develops a PGA tour following he's not selling $1,200+ putters in the U.S. Might as well focus on the markets that will bear the extra price.

While searching for more info I came across an ebay auction of his from a few years ago... under the title of black diamond. The putter went for 900 and didn't look as good as some of his recent stuff.

 

Interesting that he got banned. I wonder what for. Makes sense though with his approach.

Probably for promoting his product without paying for a sponsorship. I know the owners of this site are very strict with that.

I got a whole snide and condescending speech from "HQ" saying exactly this. I don't care to ever deal with them again. Great looking stuff, but they can get over themselves as far as I'm concerned. I'm not a child, I'm very aware of how the industry/market works, thank you.

I think Tyson and crew (his mom) are overwhelmed with the amount of success/sales. He's the next big thing for sure. Makes an incredible stick. Things will get better I'm sure as they figure their business out.

Some seriously nice putters on his instagram. Shocked I have never come across him before. The hammered sole looks amazing. Not willing to commit that kind of coin, but lots of people out there will!

At first I wasn't sure why you thought this...I hadn't seen much like his. Since I read your comment I started to notice numerous similarities to a whole bunch of TP Mills stuff....some things near identical.

 

Still all very nice putter tho lol...

I just saw the TP Mills dots after I posted that comment, I was more referring to "Lamb-Krafted" and "Lamb & Co" stamps. Again I get imitation is the highest form of flattery but for a starting price of $1,200 seems like you'd want something more original. His stuff is super clean though.
