Indeed. Haha. Not a good look and certainly can't be comfortable feeling like you've peed your pants for 5 hours.

We were fearful of something a bit more ominous... Like Saturday night celebrating of being in the top 5 got out-of-hand and he was bearing the brunt of too many tall boys in our humid Texas afternoon.

Haha. The guy needs to avoid the wool or 100% cotton duds in the humidity, that's for sure.

Those who are making comments about the swamp Word not allowed have apparently never played golf in the South and are apparently entertained. Go to any course in a Southern state between the months of May and October and you'll see plenty of it, if that's your thing to look.

I live in Central Ga and can most definitely attest to this. It's bad stuff to say the least.

Goldbond, a good pair of moisture wicking underwear and comparable material shorts (pants for PGA posers) is a must to avoid the uncomfortable chafing that could easily ruin a round of golf. Apparently nobody told whoever everyone is talking about.

Agreed on the swamp a** in the south. It's a fact of life. Nothing short of w change of trousers at the turn will prevent it during the summer. Wearing black pants will mask the appearance of it. But also makes it worse in reality.

Saw the recorded version at the morning coffee. Kind of disgusting with a guy with a - for a PGA tour pro - sloppy swing just holing it out from everywhere. The guy has serious swing flaws and still wins tournaments. And the thing is, like with all the short game specialists, he will go on putting like that for the next 40 years... My heart blead a little for Harris English. Like for Stenson on last Tour Championship.

Young Spieth really has to get a swing to match that short game. I wish someone could jinx some yips on him, A woodoo doctor maybe. That should maybe get his swing going.

My countryman Jacobsson is the same type. His swing is simply ugly, but he goes hundreds of holes without three-putts.

His mind and stroke are so dialed in on the greens that any putting surface smooth enough will surrender multiple bombs.
a great putter wins every time. He can have 18 chances to beat you.

Those guys 4-8 in the world need to step up. These 3 are winning so much. Scott stopped the trend early in the year. Fowler DJ Stenson Rose and Bubba need to up their effort.

Fowler isn't going to make it. Seventh year on tour and only 3 wins. Will be 28 this year. I would be surprised if he ever gets to 10 wins.

Stenson is over the hill. He's 40 and hasn't won in the US since 2013 when he had a great year. No top tens in majors since 2014.

Rose (36 this year) has a good shot. He's won on the US tour every year since 2010. Pretty good record.

DJ and Bubba have the best shot at challenging Spieth, Day and McIlroy.

This is the misguided sort of thinking that has ruined many players who played well then tried to change their swing so it looked pretty on video. It's also the reason a lot of guys have great swings but don't win often.

Spieth knows how to score, but I suppose you would rather have Charles Howel's or Johnathan Byrds game.

You are correct. Lot's of players have a much more textbook swing than Spieth but just can't get it in the hole. The game is all about score, not beauty. Furyk, Trevino, Palmer, Gay Brewer, Nancy Lopez, Bubba Watson all have really ugly swings and won a lot more than "Pretty swing" Howell and many others.

absolutely... this is100% true... Jordan doesn't need to change anything.. just get his head in the correct place and you see what happens... personally I like the look of his swing.. I don't know why the pundits have such issue with it ,... I mean we let Furyk stay , and web simpsons whirlie bird follow through ... why not Jordans Major winning swing??

Jason Day didn't get his 2nd win on tour until his 8th season.. nice logic there.

Spieth is 12th in Strokes Gained Tee-to-Green. Most all of the guys ahead of him in that ranking are bombers off the tee and earn their rank with the extra distance. Spieth does it with game management and by being more aggressive at the right times. He may not have the prettiest classic swing, but it sure is effective. I'm sure he has no intention of changing it.

Yes - he is an excellent course manager with excellent scrambling skills - reminds me a little of Seve.

I can see where you're coming from but neither player was SHORT hitting in their respective eras. .....Jack was/is the greatest course manager. ...yet he was amongst the longest. The stigma attached to the title of "course manager" stings as much as an NFL qb labeled a "game manager"

It defines a player who doesn't have the physical gifts that superstar qb's display.....in golf a "course manager" supposedly can't "overpower" a golf course.

But when you can putt like Nicklaus, Woods,Seve or YJS ....you don't need to take yourself out of a hole.....just find the green somehow. .....conservative strategy doesn't mean these don't have "bomber distance" it just means they choose to use it wisely.....

Pavin,Funk, Donald are short hitters
