We are getting close to the unveil of the #9 look alike. Love that look but you'll have to pry the ER2 out of my cold dead hands

If so, it's ok looking. The 1.1 looks much nicer IMO.

F it I ordered another ER5 - I had the one of the first ones produced the results were amaizng but the sound was horrible. Apparently it's fixed with the latest ones.

I don’t know if they are replacing the ER5 with a model with more toe hang or if they are going to have two separate models. I will find out.

Would love to find out if that Anser / Newport head style with the topline is going to be available on the retail level. Is that what people are calling the #9?

Sounds like they may be introducing it at the PGA Show, perhaps? Hope it comes with the topline as shown in the pic! My luck, it will be Tour Only. :(

So the 1.1, for now, is not coming out. They are releasing the 1.2 which is the rounded bumpers and it’s up on their website. Still no news of the #9. I’m bummed out but I will be fine. :tongue:

After they sell thru the current ER5 stock, which is abundant, they are going to offer a slant neck model with more toe hang.

The #9 is being released at the PGA Show so it’s right around the corner.

Wait..... so I need to wait til they sell out of their ER5 stock til they'll even offer me the slant neck?? Is there any chance I can get one "behind the scenes" before official release or something?? I was told March, but depending how much stock they have this sounds like longer.

Well, they did advertise the 1.1 quite a bit and I heard they were even starting to take pre-orders.

Also I notice the 1.2 has the two dots on the topline. Just my opinion, that's a little busy for a traditional design.

Also if you want to get autistic the numbers are backwards. If they are going to have both Anser and Anser 2 models then the 1.1 should be the Anser and the 1.2 should be the Anser 2.

Noticed the toe hang on 1.2 is 30 degrees. Thought it would be around 40-45 like my current plumb back Putters

I assume the neck is a little bit longer which will reduce the toe hang a touch.

I agree on the two dots, might be good for some, but visually I would prefer naked or single sight line in the flange.

I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before they offer custom options. They started out with almost no customization at all - a few putter choices, 1 grip choice... etc. Now they've got like 10+ head designs, multiple grip choices, etc. They've obviously got the right tooling and machines to make these desirable tour designs... they just most likely don't want to pay the uber high unit prices to make just a few right now for the public.

I'm going to get an Evnroll I'm just not sure which one yet. I've been able to try the er 2 and like it but I haven't been able to try an er 1 yet so I'm not sure if I'd prefer one or I could hold put til the er 1.1 and 1.2 are released and get one of those. Too many options. I've been gaming a Newport 2 for the last couple years so I'm thinking I might prefer one of the er 1s.
