Evnroll Putters-- Amazing!!!

This thread has gotten really long and maybe I missed it, but are all the Evnroll models face balanced? Most interested in the ER2 based on looks, but I need lots of toe hang.

Definitely not all. ER1 is very much a gate-swing putter. I am playing a "Newport/Anser" style plumbers neck and the ER1 felt perfect.

Balance – 25 degrees toe down... according to their website. I would have guessed 20 degrees based on just eyeballing mine so I believe this.

How does Evnroll compare with Bobby Grace, Ping's variable depth face (I think that's the name)? It seems all these putters promote consistent roll no matter where you hit?

Tried ER1 again today, still like it but not enough to replace my Byron. Definitely a believer in the face tech though.

The paint in the groove recess is flaking off 10 months later. Annoying, but understandable I suppose is left wet in the bag.

So after 42 and 38 putts the last two rounds, I'm back to thinking hard about the ER1. Went straight to PGASS after my round today to try it again and I continue to be impressed. I do like my Byron but I have to be real with myself and it's clear I'm really in need of help on the greens. Kind of like switching to game improvement irons I guess.

I don't think it's as much about a flaw in my setup or stroke path as it is I sometimes I just really miss the center. Also I like the counterbalanced feel, almost makes the strike itself a non-event whereas with my current putter, where all the weight is in the head, it feels like I'm really hitting or popping the back of the ball.

Has anybody putted with both the ER1 & the older Rife 460 mid-blade? They seem pretty similar to me. Just looking for some opinions

This thing is the real deal biggest thing is the consistency no matter where you hit it on the face it is consistent. Coming from a Scotty I actually prefer the feel and the roll is much better. Or I could just be in the honeymoon phase haha

Question on the weight for the ER6. I bought a 35" 355g but it's just way too light for me. Is there any way to buy/exchange for a 370g or 385g weight? Any clue if PGATSS would have the different weights available? The only weights I've ever seen were on eBay and went for like $50. I'd gladly trade in the one I have for either of the heavier options...

I would call Evnroll directly. Bet they would sell you some for a lot less than that, maybe even do a straight exchange so long as you agreed to send back the ones you don't want.

It's the newer version. I'm just not sure how anyone putts with this thing at 35" and 355g or whatever. It's a massive head that feels so light. I'm having line AND pace issues because of it. I may run over to the PGATSS today and see if they'll just swap the weights out for me.

I might be alone here but I really wish their mallets were a flat bottom vs curved. I like to sit the club down at address and the fact that it moves around due to the curvature just killed the confidence for me.

Also I only got to try 2 models and it seemed like the offset was exactly the same. Need models with different offsets.

Bought the ER1 and played with it for the first time yesterday. After averaging 34.2 putts per round the last two seasons I figured it couldn't hurt to change putters. First round, 29 putts and zero 3 putts. Can't remember the last time that happened.

Anyone have any comparison pics of the ER5 to an odyssey 7? Just want to see size wise how it compares.

no comparison pics, but the tank is slightly bigger. My ER5 is slightly bigger than the early number 7 Odyssey models. Just the right size to my eye. Very good putter. Not changing it after 12 months now.

Spare me the "pay to play" glibness--if this putter was the shizzle, it would be on tour, end of. So explain to me how a putter of such apparent quality and accuracy cannot be found in any notable professional golfer's bag. Not an Evnroll hater here either, just curious.

I don't understood why "use on the PGA tour" should be a factor when deciding on what equipment an amateur golfer should consider. Case in point, the Mizuno JPX 900 driver. Zero tour use and set somehow lots of us still manage to hit the hell out of the thing... must be some sort of gap in the space time continuum because obviously it isn't a very good driver if no one on the tour is using it.

I'm still on the fence whether to switch to an EvnRoll but it has nothing to do with seeing one on tour.

P.S. Not many Byron Morgan putters on tour either. Does that mean Byron doesn't build great putters?

It's only an indictment of your unwillingness to accept the fact that the PGA is almost entirely Pay To Play.

Love my ER2... could care less that no one on tour uses one (actually kind of like the mystery of it)... definitely worth a demo if you can get your hands on one.

They are trying to get a tour presence. I spoke to the local rep and he said Guerin had to get a full year under his belt to see if these were going to stick and what the reception would be in the regular market. He now has enough money to invest in a tour rep or two and will have them out full time next year. He's not going to pay anyone to play the putters but he will have them next to every green with someone to help the pros pick their best putter, have it adjusted and fitting to them. If you see them start gaining traction on tour, you can know it was because of this and it being the best putter for that particular player.
