I mentioned the $1200 figure only because that's what they sold at 2 years ago. And these won't be fully custom putters. I'd think of it more like Piretti's 801s which are $1250 and can have some customization done at that price, at least that's how I understand it. I could be wrong since I'm not in the inner circle and just going by IG comments.

 

It will be interesting to see what they do end up pricing them at and what options you can have. Assuming I can type fast enough when the time comes, I'd be in for anything under $1500. Otherwise, I'll just stick to the ball markers and divot tools.

I don't think these will be customize-able outside of a few minor options but that's just a guess. I think they'll be $1500 and up but that's just a guess as well or at least what I'm preparing myself for. I think all 50ish putters will sell out in less out in less than a minute or two. It will be really interesting to see how they drop the release, if it will be completely random or if they'll give us a specific time.

 

All I know is I'm going to try my damnedest to get one!

On IG Tana Lamb stated "it's been almost 2 years since customs were $1200. We added too many options to keep them there."

 

The flippers will do their work and that is why the Lamb putters will sell out, but it is hard to believe you will be charged $1500 and up (maybe even be $2000) for a custom putter whose maker doesn't even have a single putter on the PGA tour. Talk about drinking the kool aid or running with the lemmings. I will be interested to see If the putters sit like some of the headcovers on the secondary market.

Content to watch the drama unfold here as well, as my Byron is going nowhere soon. I was initially hesitant to cough up custom coin for a BM, but lately I've been thinking how it was a economical purchase after all.

Yes. Fully aware of that unfortunate fact. That’s why I resisted Instagram as well. The format being different and amount of information gathered and shared is far different so I’m reluctantly OK with IG.

 

It helps to keep up with family members and a some out of town friends. Some very entertaining posts on there in general.

 

I Also of course follow lots of golf related accounts on it as well.

Agree. I'd love to see their website traffic numbers for the preview listings compared to the actual sale listings. I don't doubt that everything will sell out quickly, it just might not be the insta-clicks like they get with donuts.
