2017 Masters Tournament Discussion Thread

Unless I am missing something I think GOLF WRX needs a twitter hashtag or a group twitter for majors. Doing this and connecting w/ golf fans is fun but doing it on a message board is so 1994. W/ that said I don't have all the idea worked out but maybe the week of the tournament the team could let us know the hashtag like #GolfWRXMasters or something and we would know where to go and we could talk collectively as a group.

 

 

 

I think most posters come on here because it isn't twitter, and they want to keep it that way.

 

Look at most of the stuff that gets posted on twitter, I really don't want to be a part of that.

Didn't watch as much as I should have , Rors major issue this week? Faulty putter? Etc....

 

For whatever reason, Rory is just not firing on all cylinders. He misses a lot of seemingly makable putts; his short game is inconsistent and he hits poor shots at inopportune times. I think he has a problem with concentration.

Thats why the team here would create a specific hashtag and only those that came here would know what it was. Search that hashtag and have the conversation in there. When the tournament is over that hashtag doesn't get used by us. Next major...new hashtag. You don't have to get caught up in all the crap that twitter has if you use it correctly.

 

I just searched #Golfwrxmasters for example and there are no tweets, so if we had used that the odds are that only those on this board would follow it.

Did anyone notice in the 3rd round Steve Williams snuffing Rose after the match? Williams briskly walked by him on the 18th when Rose was approaching him for a handshake.

Would've loved to see a down the line view of Rose's putt on 18. I was pulling for Rose and was mid fist pump when that thing burned the edge. I really don't know how that didn't fall in the right side of the cup. Then Sergio's did not sniff the cup.

 

Would've also been interesting if Garcia's winning put lipped out and he was left with a dicey 2.5-3 footer to win. Seemed like it hit the hole with some pace.

I agree. Was thinking the same thing. Since I was pulling (slightly) for Sergio I was glad to see him not have to wrestle with it.
