Greg,

Both his older Nikes and current Artisan wedges were built by same people, yet get your point and appreciate the response.

Maybe so, but just because the people who may or may not have built his irons when they worked for Nike and now have a company called Artisan doesn't mean his clubs are Artisan. That would be like calling Jack Nicklaus' MacGregor irons Scratch cuz Don White made them

Greg

Already stated got your point and appreciated the response, never stated anything relating to branding, just who built clubs- really no need to try to prove a point by sarcastic, sardonic response.

It's pathetic. The Dufner/Mizuno episode spoke volumes. Always silent when proven wrong. Laughable.

Pretty cool to see players' bags without contracts.

Here, Reed basically just needed to find a new driver to play. Other than that: basic blades with same old shafts, trusty 3W and putter, and some hand-crafted wedges presumably based on grinds he's played.

It seems like 90% of the guys without contracts play Taylormade drivers.

No surprises, we're the no. 1 driver at @WGCMexico this week with 22 in play. But what you may be surprised about is that 41% of those guys have no driver contract = they're free to choose whichever driver performs the best. #1DriverinGolf

Anyone know what driver Reed was playing this weekend? I could have sworn it wasn't a TM driver today, looked to be all black, maybe even a G400 or Rogue? Just haven't found any pics from the Valspar yet....

I thought even though they may not be on contract they still pay players to use their drivers

They do pay tee up money, they're hyping the free to play whatever cuz no contract. Which is true but just forget to say that the players are being paid.

I'd like to see these numbers for 2017 and 2018. I would guess TM is less after the split with adidas.

I’m guessing the green jacket means the G400 LST has won Reed’s driver tryouts against the TM M3 and his old Callaway. He drove it so well. Difference maker.

I thought the copper screw was the tungsten weight

No, the tungsten weight is the boomerang-shaped 'black' weight between the copper weight and the 'Ping' name

can't stand this man

but I not mad at this set up at all

Ok I'll bite....... What horrible thing did he do to deserve the " I can't stand" ?

canadian?

Could be? I never liked his clothing style with the fancy pockets on his pants and I heard he had some drama in college. That aside I like his tenacity and in team events he's a throw back to times when Arnie and Jack would step on necks.

I don't think it's fair to bring up the issues he had playing for his college team. That's in his past, he learned from that and has moved on. Furthermore, his peer group on the tour have obviously put it aside as well.

He's not my favorite player either but I have to feel good about his Driver choice as I bought my G400 two weeks ago and am loving it......!

Mine fell out recently. I wonder if he knew that would happen, and just took it out and hot melted it? I'm curious...

I know my club guy can order different tungsten weights for the driver and the ordering options shows a picture of the copper piece so I still think that’s the tungsten part not necessarily the badge that says tungsten

There are two different weights on the G400 series. There is the glued tungsten weight and there is the copper weight that you can change out for swing weight purposes. Anyway, not really on topic so I'll just leave it at that.
