My guess is that he uses that as sort of a mini driver since he can't find a fairway with a normal one.

 

Those Cobra fairway woods look slick I saw them in the shop the other day.

Edit: I wonder what the significance of 318 and 148 on his wedges.

 

The tour rep stamps the month and year on all cobra wedges to know when that specific wedge was built. 318 is march 2018

Someone explain something to me though... His 3 wood is set at 12.5 but marked 12 and his 5 wood is set at 17.5 and marked 16. Are these what the clubs actually measure at or are they bent to open the faces a bit more? It looks like the heads have enough hosel to be bent a little if needed.

God the black and orange is just the worse...love the Cobra gear but the orange makes it all look so cheap.

Man I always used to look forward to checking out Duval’s WITB when he played whatever he wanted. His bag always had an awesome looking, usually small headed driver along with a sexy super low spin 3 wood. Then he’d have some awesome looking musclebacks in 2-PW, 53 & 58 and some sick Cameron tour prototype.

 

Now he’s playing..... Cobra? Uhhhhhh.... and not even good looking Cobra stuff...

Measured, can't bend a hosel that takes an adapter. The heads have tolerances when manufactured and can be +/- at lease 1* all day long. So they probably found one that measured 12 and another that measured 16 at the face angle he wants.

Agreed. I'm really glad he is out from under the Nike club umbrella, but the irons here leave me scratching my head. I remember the Titleist days...

They actually don't wear all that much, to be honest. My understanding is that the "black" is infused into the metal. It's not just on the surface.

He went thru the Darrel survey count on Thursday with a Titleist 917 D2 9.5 Driver in his bag, not the Cobra and playing a Titleist Pro V1 golf ball

The irons are sweeeeet. I don't like the cobra wedges though, feels like it is the only part of their range they should pay more attention to (irons, fw, hybrids are great)
