I’m getting the feeling I won’t see a true US Open for a long time. If players today play well they expect to shoot 65, if they shoot over par when they play well they say it’s unfair. It’s ONCE every year give us a tough test!

That's the result of the first three days, not today. Fleetwood is already six under for today.

 

Be interesting to see if the course toughens up as the day goes on. Be really interesting to see if anyone gets under par total.

Fleetwood is on fire, but only 15 guys are par or better right now. Average score is still well over par, even with the easiest setup possible on this course. All today has proven is that this course didn't need the USGA manipulations of previous rounds.

What's absurd is they are hitting the green with 4 irons.

 

The hole is 30 yards back from the front of the green. Carrying a 4 iron 220 to reach the green isn't a huge deal for a touring pro.
