Those that complained that yesterday the course was too tough, will probably complain today that it is too easy.

Not me. This is great. A perfect mix. Showcasing the players and course, not USGA manipulations.

It really is a personal choice isn't it, which you like better. For me, I feel like we get low scoring on a weekly basis. I like, once a yea, to see them struggle.

Rose and Stenson played great golf yesterday to shoot rounds just over par.

I like the concept of surviving to win the Open. Others like to see birdies. All good, no matter which, just hope it's an exciting finish.

The back 9 will be survival. The nerves will kick in and the guy who holds it together the best will win.

We aren't getting "low scoring". Fleetwood is on fire, Reed is on fire. There are also plenty of +5 and worse rounds going on out there.

For those of you defending this course setup today what are your expectations of the US Open? This is not traditional US Open golf. This is bordering on Bob Hope Desert Classic stuff. The pressure of a major will get to some no matter what the course but this course is playing way to easy. As far as the tournament so far so good. Lots of guys in it, going to be interesting finish.

There's no question that this is not the ideal setup for a US Open Sunday. The problem is that they screwed the pooch yesterday (and to a degree on Friday), so they basically had no choice but to set it up this way for the final round. They pushed the course too hard yesterday, which made a mess of the tournament. Now they've got to bring the tournament back, and the only way to do it is to set up the course for a shootout.

Today's course setup is amazing. Phenomenally good. For Friday. Circumstances dictated that it comes on Sunday, which is too bad - yesterday's round should have been today.

Reed is the man. Now my pool group text is literally cussing out Patrick reed. Lol. And I haven’t responded yet. That’s fueling the fire.

They’ve now gone into questioning his family matters and the. YOU Have the lone other supporter who says “ captain America “. And kicks the bee nest ! I love it !

Could be wrong but at a glance

I doubt the aggregate scores off all players will be much under par today if at all

It shouldn't be. One really bad hole by one player (Phil yesterday) can completely offset a great round by someone else (Fleetwood today) or several good solid rounds.

yup pretty much.

It seems the pendulum has swung. Is there no middle ground between near unplayable and a birdie fest?

This isn't a birdie fest. Unless you call 232 bogeys or worse against 150 birdies or better a "birdie fest".

what was it yesterday and friday though??

Sugar Sand? I should honestly just mute this.

That's just a description of the type of sand that's over there. A fine, heavy sand that's easy to hit fat out of.

Again, sounds a lot like numbers from a ho-hum Sunday at a regular tour stop. Not the US Open.

Heck, probably pretty close to the number they'll put up in the Meier Classic over on the LPGA today.

It's the US OPEN, there should be way more bogeys than birdies. And it shouldn't be close.
