Today there is no danger of any doubles or worse. Just birdies, pars and if you hit a bad shot maybe an outside chance at a bogey. It is what it is. A walk in the park. Very sad they felt the pressure to take the bite out of this course and than caved to that pressure. Today is more like The PGA Championship, what a dissapointment.

There are still more bogeys than birdies so far today. I don't know what you are looking for.

Today is the fair setup that these players have wanted all along.

One of the announcers said earlier that on 11 of the holes the pin is right in the middle of the green.

That's where a lot of the holes NEED to be at Shinnecock if you want something other than carnage.

If they did this setup yesterday for moving day and allowed these guys the chance to score a bit, I would have had zero issues with the USGA setting up yesterdays pins for championship Sunday. They really, really messed it up.

First it was Tiger’s stupid off center Nike swoops in the back, and now, hey, Nike, end those stupid hats with the rope on it and stop trying to emulate those white trash trump hats.

They’re trying to make the US Open great again.

It really wouldn't take much. Somebody just has to have the balls the be the first to take action. They'll still be a few who will continue, but the majority will shut hell up once they realize there will be consequences.

I agree! I called out a guy who was dropping "f" bombs at the range left and right and there were a bunch of kids around. After I spoke to him the guy huffed, picked up his clubs and left. The parents thanked me. I was wondering why one of them didn't say anything.

Sean :superman: Jack Reacher range master

Ha! It wasn't that, I just couldn't listen to his language with all those kids around. If there weren't any kids around I couldn't have cared less.

Yeah, as someone else opined it seemed they did of got things in reverse.

If you hit good shots yesterday you got good, or at least acceptable results, for the most part. There were a lot of really bad shots. A whole lot more than good shots that got bad breaks.

I'm going to guess we'll have a 18 hole playoff tomorrow.

Lol, you didnt hear about the playoff change or you kidding.

I didn't, what is it

For the first time, in the event of a tie, the national championship would come down to a two-hole aggregate playoff on Nos. 17 and 18.

I couldn’t agree more. I was talking to someone and said, “There we’re a lot of crappy shots yesterday. Good shots were overwhelmingly rewarded than course forced disasters.”

You miss a green, you can’t expect to get up and down every single time.

WTF is Azinger talking about with Koepka's driving iron? He spoke like he's seen it before, it's just the Nike Vapor Fly 3 iron that he's had forever, and it clearly has a number on it. Strange commentary.
