It really wouldn't take much. Somebody just has to have the balls the be the first to take action. They'll still be a few who will continue, but the majority will shut hell up once they realize there will be consequences.

 

I agree! I called out a guy who was dropping "f" bombs at the range left and right and there were a bunch of kids around. After I spoke to him the guy huffed, picked up his clubs and left. The parents thanked me. I was wondering why one of them didn't say anything.

 

But thats the problem. My generation is ball-less. We were raised not to take action, but to be "bystanders" and "non-tattle tails". Its sad because it rears it's ugly head in cases like this; a sport/tradition that has been a gentleman's game for generations.

 

It's like when I had the spouse of a really young (maybe 23/24) members of the club I work at ask me "why couldn't I be served in the men's grill?". Cause the talk that goes on in there is not appropriate for young kids and women. But thats okay, guys have a to be guys...and theres a place for that.

 

We are now so accustomed to exposing women/young children to inappropriate talk that it is just a "thing". Wow, sorry i've gone way off topic...but honestly a rant that i could repeat over and over if i wanted.

The hole is 30 yards back from the front of the green. Carrying a 4 iron 220 to reach the green isn't a huge deal for a touring pro.

Have you seen the rough - sometimes only 5 or 6 feet from the fairway?

 

These guys are the best in the world. I think it's good that the greens are somewhat receptive today.
