In hand photos of the Ping i500 irons (MERGED)

These look great. Could see a lot of i500/iBlade combos.

 

 

Matt Wallace won with that setup on European tour last week....after seeing pics however, I'm wondering if there will be a need to combo them...gives me the impression these are more inline with 0311T irons from pxg than they are 790s....more to come I guess

I was just about to use the eBay 15% off to troll for another set of irons... might now not do that :)

 

I checked Matt Wallace's Twitter/Instagram for pics to see what they might look like against the iBlades but didn't see anything.

If they are 0311T sized, they would be good without comboing.

Well aware of scotch brite. My point was, Ping shouldn't say this new 2.0 finish resists scratching but then the first photo that I see has scratching on the club.

I was bad mouthed on here a few months ago when I suggested that PING had adopted TaylorMade's business model by announcing new models on a six monthly basis. Now we have i500's - I rest my case. (and wait for the brain washed PING devotees to jump to the defence of the Company that can do no wrong)

Im not blown away as Im sure they are nice as I don't ever see them finding a way into my bag, too plain and lettering to big. Oh well if I still had my s55's I wouldn't trade for them either and not about to let my P790's get away as they are some serious looking set of irons.

takes a lot to get my attention as I'm still loving the j15cb. these just may be the next set in my bag. looking forward to the reviews. hopefully similar to p790 with a little less focus on pure distance and little more on consistency, especially in short irons.
