Well this thread was a good find. I’m struggling to stay awake today and this highly entertaining read is helping.

Come for the laughs? Me too.

Yes sir!

I don’t venture into this forum very often but I’m glad I did today!

How bout that tear Hawkeye went on. That had me laughing.

This Hawkeye? Uh-oh - - - I was working on being supportive and uplifting, even giving away training aids, lol!

Watching Christie Kerr last night must have kept the edge on!

Hello there, Hawkeye. Welcome back to the party

I'm trying to do the opposite!

I'm trending to a +2.7 and I'm trying to get it down to a 0 to make these club handicapped events a bit more bearable. :)

I have 3 young kids and an awesome wife. I certainly don't practice more than once a week. When I do practice, it's efficient. I don't really even practice to get better, I go with what feels good, what works at the time, and that's it. When I hit balls before a round, I hit a ton of wedges and short irons, and use whatever driver swing shows up that day. I putt about the same amount of time as I hit balls before each round or anytime I practice. No matter how I'm hitting the ball, I manage the hell out of all of my rounds when I'm trying to play well. It doesn't matter how well your hitting the ball, if you aren't hitting crisp wedges within 5 to 15 feet consistently, and short irons within 10-20 feet, and you aren't confident in the flat stick and rolling in putts, you will barely sniff scratch, much less +3.

With all of that being said, good luck. I know nothing about your game and you very well could be on your way.

LOL I’m going to have to keep an eye out for the sand baggers playing off scratch. This is the ultimate humble brag!

There are lots of them — especially at the regional and national level. Guys who — if they submitted all their scores — would be +4 to +5, but who play lots of money golf and keep their index around +1 very, very consistently...

I know several of them. Do NOT bet them under any circumstances. If you Google the guy's name and you see he has played in four or five (or more) USGA events, you know you are not dealing with a +1!!! :-)

There are a handful of guys I know locally who live in the 0-2 handicap range that are solid +1 to +3's. When I have to play them in a handicapped event of some sort, it always sparks up an interesting conversation. The worst part is they don't even try and deny it!

Posting just to follow and see if I should get a skytrak as well...

Bought a SkyTrack last month.

Hit around 450 balls per day, all with a 7-iron.

Can't decide if I want to stick with steel or graphite as my body is acting up due to the 450 balls per day.

Haven't played a round of golf since the SkyTrack purchase.

Pretty sure I've gone from a 4 HDCP to Scratch though.

I've already called dibs on the OP's Skytrak. Not that it matters, this is a well done troll. OP has gotten 5 pages and disappeared. These guys are getting good.

He's now dispensing instructional advice in other threads.

This is no troll, I'm still grinding away. But too much negativity and gatekeeping in here for what's supposed to be a supportive community.

Put your game on the line. Post video, and play some tournament rounds. See where you stand.

If you don't have a good short game/putting (you described it as not being very good) you won't get to + territory (assuming you don't cheat the handicap system).

You are best off spending 75% of your practice time around and on the green.

Master 50 yards and in and then move on to wedge shots or go use the SkyTran if you must.

My swing is clicking now. Can't hit 100% strength but at least my new changes are not aggravating my back.. Got in my head a little bit after 10 in a row. I think hitting a lot of balls, things will be so automatic that my mind will get used to hitting a ton in a row, it will be like brushing teeth. Good progress but need to get a lot better, the difference between 80% in practice and 95% in practice is huge. Dwight Howard makes 80% of his free throws in practice, good shooters 99% probably, but in games it drops to 55% and 85%.

I can destroy all those figures in about 4 hours.

$2000 front nine

$2000 back nine

$2000 match.

What you reckon?

Ping G410+ Tensei Orange Pro.

Mizuno GT180 shaft as above.

Adams 3H  Aldila Blue.

Wilson FG100 4i-PW.

Wilson PMP 52/56/60

Putters....too many.
