LOL buddy of mine told me he wants his odd-numbered irons to be differen't than his even-numbered irons. Anyone heard of something like this before?!

No...that sounds like some serious OCDness. But hey, if it works for him then so be it.

I carry four different brands in my bag: TM driver & irons, Adams hybrids, Cleveland wedges, and Odyssey putter. Irons are chrome and wedges are black. Doesn't bother me in the least. Sorry I don't have a picture to share.

Only time I played a complete matching bag was from 2012-2014, I played all Titleist because everything that came out that year just seemed to worked for me.

I currently play a mixed bag w/ Taylormade woods, Mizuno irons, Vokey wedges and swap putters between a see more m5/ ping Anser Ti. Going to add a couple of Bettinadis to the putter rotation.

I think as we get better the less and less we need these to match. You do not see many scratch players fully committed to a manufacture unless they are sponsored. The manufactures love this and have used their marketing colors for years to push more sales. But to each their own. I just know when I am beat it's usually not by someone with a matching bag. only 1 guy I can think of, all Callaway but Scotty putter.

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.
Treat people the way you want to be treated

Just recently I went from z565 irons, Cleveland CBX GW (satin), Black RTX3 SW, and Antique Copper Hi-Toe LW. That was doing a number on me. Chrome to satin, to black, to copper?!?

Since then I recently got a hold of the Tour Raw RTX4 and have replaced all my wedges so that they match. My inner being is much more at peace with a matching set of wedges. ;)

i play a mixed bag. i just play what i like regardless of brand, color etc.

i am a "play what you want kind of guy, your money, your time, enjoy". I do however scratch my head when someone who loves their bag, lets say all Callaway decides to try and buy a different brand driver, lets say cobra, then feel the need to play all cobra. i find it hard to believe that one brand makes the best 14 for anyone.

I'm mixed up as well. Different brands, finishes and my woods are split between Matte and Shiny.

Titleist Driver (Shiny)

Callaway 5 wood (Matte)

Srixon Hybrid (Shiny)

Taylormade Irons (Satin)

Piretti Wedges (Chrome)

Taylormade High Toe (Copper Finish)

Bettinardi Putter (Black Finish)

All in a Ping bag

Fun question. I've never even tried to match clubs, as follows:

Callaway GBB Epic 12.5 degree driver

Callaway Big Bertha 19 degree 5-wood

Tour Edge 3h

Cobra Baffler 4h

Titleist 714 AP1 5 - gap

Ping Glide 2.0 56 degree

Callaway PM Grind 60 degree

Bettinardi Innovai 3.0

I do have a fetish about colors, however. Red and black Ping carry bag, red and black headcovers. But the headcovers don't match: two are knit Jan Craig, three are Stitch leather. Is there medication for this? :slow_en: :taunt:

Bit of an odd take here but I decided to go all Titleist to reduce my urge to buy just about anything in the classifieds that sounds interesting. I also don't hate how good my bag looks right now.

Driver: Titleist 913D3 (9.5) with Fubuki ZT50x

Fairway: Titleist 915f (15) with Fubuki

Hybrid: Titleist 913H (19) with Matrix Ozik 130x

Irons: Titleist 680mb (6-pw) / 712U (4,5) with Modus 120x

Wedges: Vokey SM4 (50, 54, 60) with DG wedge flex

Putter: Scotty Red X5

if it doesn't say Titleist it isn't coming into my bag.

Except of course my ping anser - that thing is NEVER leaving the bag.

I was hung up on tying to keep an all Callaway/Odyssey bag as my gamer for a while. Lately I’ve been moving away from that to getting what works in play. Just switched back to my G25 driver and I wonder why I ever thought I could find something better.

I have 7 different brands in my bag.

a blue driver

a gray 3 wood

3 different wedges

a red putter

Use what works. Matching just to match is ridiculous

See the sig, basically Titleist and Cally. Not really a Franken bag anymore. Used to have Cobra (Driver LTD) and Mizzy (Lob Wedge) in there as well.

I have always played a mixed bag.

Currently I have in the bag:

PING G30 Driver

Callaway Optiforce 3 wood d+82

TEE CB2 5 wood d+82

712u 3 iron x100s

712mb 5-PW

TM RF 50.09 and 56ATV kbs tour 130

PM Grind 60

Circa 62 putter

The irons and driver are stock. What is really funny is that I have different grips on driver, fairway, wedges, and irons. I bought the irons used and haven't regripped the wedges to match. Most likely I will switch the driver to the mcc plus 4 to match the fairways. As of now, it looks like I bought different pieces of 3 different bags and threw them in the blender.

If anything can go right, it might!

I have no issues with mix bag but I can also appreciate a matched set

Evnroll ER3

Bag 2 (Cobra + Callaway):

Cobra Fly Z+

Cobra LTD 4W

Cobra Bio Cell 3H

Cobra Fly Z+ 4-P

Callaway MD3 50/54/58

Toulon San Diego

TM M3 9.5*
