Found this on facebook tonight, not sure if it has been seen yet.

That's not red. That's freaking close to pink/red. Fail Ping.

Good. Nothing wrong with pink.

To everyone writing it off after seeing the sole of a preproduction club, too bad for you. I get when people don’t like clubs because of how they look at address, but because of what’s on the sole, something you can’t see when hitting or addressing the ball? I don’t get it.

Looks red to me.

Are they keeping the 445cc heads?

The heads are supposed to be 455cc. That's what I heard from the rep.

Red’s fine too. Whatever it is, definitely not worth dismissing over a crappy unofficial picture before it’s actually launched.

Looks like I might get to pick up a g400 LST on the cheap then. Never hit one.

I've been gaming an Epic SZ since it was released a couple of years ago. It was by far the runaway winner in the fitting I had.

Played it for a few years and it was really long but couldn't hit a fairway. I presumed it was just my driver swing that sucked as the club was so good in the fitting.

Got a G400 LST for a good price off ebay. Wasn't that impressed at first but once I found a shaft that worked for me... Oh boy. Only played about 5 rounds with it (so may be the honeymoon phase) but I've hit more fairways in those 5 rounds than I have in the last 10 with my Epic.

Itʻs going to be a long honeymoon, my occasional missed fairway is definately operator error. Welcome to the club.

What shaft did you get? Or just the head?

They went backwards with this release.. hands down the G400 is a much better looking club with a much better color way.. the black / copper looked awesome. But that’s me judging the bottom of it. If it does perform better then the g400 then maybe I would consider it as an option but I’m in love with my g400 LST

Backwards? You can tell that from a minimal pic of the bottom?

Yes in MY opinion I’ve seen enough to determine it looks cheap like a Kmart brand driver from the bottom.. why would looking at the crown differ my opinion on the bottom/sole of the club? Yes seeing the sole of the club I can make a judgment of what I see

And there you have it. Personally, I like to see the entire club before I would put it on the “no hit” list. To each his own...

I never said it was on a “no hit list” if you see my original statement I said I think it’s a step backwards in the sole cosmetically.. of course if it performs I would game it and I’m a huge ping fan full bag of g400lst g400 5w i200 4/5 iblade 6-pw and forged glides so Its nothing against Ping it’s just I see the g400 line as being the best looking driver they ever produced. I was excited to see the new g410 but I am disappointed at what I’ve seen this far.. if that answers anyone who was “offended” by my opinion of its looks by a picture

Never judge a club by a half a&@ pic of the sole:). That is a Wrx no no. We will let it slide since you are a newbie.

Hit em straight!!!

The complaints about what the sole looks like blow my mind. I would use a vomit themed color scheme if it improved my game

Agreed! Most of the clubs I have used for the last 10 years have “ugly” soles. I always seem to forget about the ugly sole after piping one deep down the fairway..

I hate the sole of the 785, yet I would still 100% bag it if I didn’t have my TS2. Thing just flat out performs

Any more info on the new sleeve?

More adjustability, but will the std setting still be the most upright or is it going to more of a TM model where it is 1.5 deg up or flat from a std position?

they already have a -1.5 sleeve where it makes the club flatter. I have one. Im thinking it may be the new sleeve not it is a guess.

How will the forgiveness of the G410 LST compare to the G400 Max?

Nobody can answer that. You’re asking about a driver nobody has hit or even seen. It would only be speculation.

I understand that nobody can say from experience. Was asking more for the people that have talked to Ping reps and have some inside information.

It’s been said that the old tips won’t work with the new heads.

I wonder if there will be a “stretch” version in the new G410 LST fwy?

There won’t be. There will be an LST model at 14.5° with the new adjustable sleeve though.
