G400 driver replacement in January

The G410 will be $499. With the G400 Max at $399 it will be hard to sell the New driver unless it is hands down better than the Max. IMO that is going to be a hard thing to do.

I was told today that this new driver is going to be $599.

 

I hope that $599 price includes any upgraded shaft of your choosing...

 

The pro at my local GC told me Ping and Titleist will be the lowest price of all the new drivers coming out at $499. Most of the others will be $550 and up

Demoed the G400 and liked it a lot. Golf Galaxy had a 25% off your entire purchase (excluding the new releases) yesterday, so at the reduced price on the G400, less an additional 25%, the price became $224, and with $208 of trade ins, got one. Not that I needed it, I like my Rogue, but it’s nice to have something to try out

To throw our rep's info into the mix:

 

Adjustable woods and hybrids, with loft being 1/1.5 degrees up and down. Also, two blank settings which do lie angle

Forgiveness - Greater than the MAX, so there will be no G410 MAX (LST to follow later in the year)

Shafts - Alta, Tour, (An Other that I forget), Pro Orange, Evenflow Black all at no extra cost

Price - £399

 

This is for us in the UK, might be different for you guys in the states

That’s amusing. Titleist always catches flack for being the most expensive. But it’s really not the case anymore. Maybe cobra will be under 500

Just talked to my pro, who has hit the G410. Says it’s amazing, and even though it’s hard to believe it’s better than G400, it is. Confirmed shaft offerings, but told me he did not think Retail was being jacked up to $500. Ping hit snag with conforming elements of LST, so that may not be our til May/June.

 

Needless to say, I’m waiting for LST, and will be buying a G410, batting some unforeseen disaster!

I sure wish they'd release the info, and pictures of this club. I'd like to see what I bought. I had an extra $1100 left on the books I had to spend, and just asked the pro if it was ok to just order the new Ping woods once they were available. Have to just let him know what shafts, and lofts.

There was no coupon. You had to go to the store between 6pm and 9pm and you got the discount at that time only. As far as the discount goes, it was only applicable to Pings already on sale. Same with Titleist. But it applied to most other things. Also got a UA rain jacket ( $150 retail) for $80, not sure how that number came up, but it did.

Almost bought one last night during ebays 15% off to see if it would be that much better than my G400 SFT but after hearing that the G410 is much better and more forgiving than the Max, I think I’ll wait. The G410 will, at the very least, cause the price of the entire G400 line to go down.

Several others have confirmed a new adjustable sleeve with MWT in this new line. Hybrids will also be adjustable now which I am super excited about.

8 positions, the hybrids are adjustable as well. NO go for cross compatible. G/G400 will not work in G410.
