not a track. 3 ports.

16g weight ?

can't remember

there will be a couple of shafts at n/c

Shaft options are Alta CB, Ping Tour, Tensei Orange and EvenFlow Black

Tensei Orange is going to be a stock option?

If true, that's BIG news.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

It won’t be the pro version. Still a nice option for stock shaft though!

Can you tell us what a "pro" version is?

It uses a higher quantity of the higher quality materials that are found in the "non pro" version.

The ck pro versions use a boron tip material that will stiffen the tip and make the shaft a bit stiffer as well.

Has anyone seen the irons?

Saw the full lineup when the rep was at our club. The irons look even better than the 400. They continue to make them more compact and better looking with more forgiveness. The interesting thing he told us was that the reason for delay on the LS was the engineers were having a really tough time getting better performance over the G400 LS. He said the in regular G400 they were able to increase MOI even further and make other improvements in launch/spin. They were still in development with the LS as anything they did had an adverse effect on those properties. Said they would not launch anything until it was a real improvement.

Are you talking about G400 iron replacement?

So would an increased moi g400 just become the g400 max?

That is kind of what I was thinking? If they have a club head that is 5cc smaller than the Max with high MOI, do they even need to refresh the Max? Maybe a shallower face with a more stretched out footprint to really push the CG back as far as possible I suppose.

Wasn’t the g25 or K15 Ping’s largest footprint to date. I know Head materials and weight distribution effect moi but wouldn’t those two be hard to beat in terms of high moi ?

Updated what do we know so far:

  • G410 is coming in Jan/Feb 2019
  • LS model in May – conflicting posts..one said it will not be offered, another said it will and another said it comes in a later release.
  • G400 Max remains current until July/Aug 2019 at a lower price point
  • G410 will be offered in 12* without draw weighting
  • Higher MOI than G400
  • Black with Red accents colorway
  • 455cc 445cc
  • Other thread said the driver has 3 weight ports (back, heel, toe) and not a sliding weight. Sliding weigh in the back Movable weights (not sure if this means to adjust the bias) or just in terms of a single weight that is swapable for a heavier or lighter weight.
  • New adapter allows for up to +/- 1.5°, as well as having a flatter lie angle setting.
  • Turbulators still there.
  • Crown is different without the dragonfly on the top but a "ridge-turbulator" on each side going to the back end.

Thank you very much for the info. Looking to get into a G400 Max. Glad I waited so I can take advantage of the lower price point.

I really hope ping doesn't bump their price to $500 on the driver

Very interested in picking up a G400 with the upcoming price drop. Any idea if the adapters will still be interchangeable with the 400/410 even though they are different ?

The adapters are supposed to be different and not interchangeable.

Not much at first, but will increase closer to launch of 410.

I wasn't told the actual prices, but all prices will drop as of November 1 and remain the same throughout the release of G410. No need to wait until closer to the release.

$500 does seem like a big jump but when you consider the Tour Shaft was a $35 up charge and shafts in the range they are offering as "no upcharge" options previously was a $75 up charge.

That's basically how they're getting away with charging $500. Giving you the original up charge shafts for no upcharge, but raising the price of the driver.
