Value is never a factor for me. If I played better with them that's all I care about. I practice on a range with a sandy base. Any club will show wear.

Saw a photo of the Epic flash yesterday. Green with some yellow highlights around it, curved weight track around the back. Apparently the face is hot.

Also discussed the upcoming release of the Apex line as well as the new PM grind (which I am hanging out for)

 

I was also sent a pic of the Epic Flash. Perhaps it's a step forward in terms of tech and performance, but HUGE step back in terms of looks (IMO). Just looks like a cheapened version of the Epic (only saw a pic of the sole)....I'll be interested to see how it's received once more pics come out.

I only saw a pic of it, but it looked like the same kind of layout from the Epic in that it slid in a curve at the back of the club.

Definitely not the same weight used in the Rogues. Honestly not sure if it's a weight that they've used before previously or totally new

As long as there are different weights available aftermarket, I will be happy. It will probably take a while, so may just temporarily use some lead tape if needed.

These do look good for the type of club it is. The 2016 version was nowhere near as successful as the 2014 reincarnation but these are already streets ahead of those in terms of looks.

 

Very sleek, very clean and not as gimmicky. Very similar shaping to to the Apex Prototypes we've seen pictures of. Perhaps aligning all ranges so they are easily identifiable as a Callaway?

 

CF16 has been on the hosels of a few irons have they not? Just to identify the club as having their cup face technology?

CF just stands for Cup Face. Multiple irons from Callaway have it stamped on the hosel.

Apex Pros different from X's. Retail version has "cup face" down to 7 iron. Good looking though, they new fairways and driver's look amazing best I have ever seen by anyone IMO... But I am a duck fan...

They look a little "chunky" but I am a MB player. The toe is a lot more rounded and it looks good. The fairways the best I have seen in terms of shape and how it sits. The non sub spins significantly more than sub, meaning bigger difference than years past. The two heads are shaped quite a bit different as well.

I get what you’re saying but I think it would be short sighted for us to think a club that people are already seeing (bound to be released) is an “answer” to a competitor’s club that has only just been released. I think the most probable scenario is that both companies were working on their respective clubs on nearly the same timeline. One just happens to have been released before the other.

That’s what will happen. Cally will say the cup face is better in their pros and TM will day their P760 speed foam is better than cup face. Competitors usually know 95% of what others are working on. TM said this when I was at the Kingdom.

Cup face was in the XR line if I’m not mistaken. The addition of the Urethane microspheres changed the game as far as feel of a cast clubhead.
