What Does Callaway Have In Store For 2019?

Got to see all the new clubs. The tungsten location on the new irons and the epic flash face technology stood out to me. The new mack daddys have a cool milling that lines up square when the face is open. And the new neck options on the odyssey putters is another plus for Callaway this year ! New ball with some new alignment aids is suppose to challenge the Titleist Avx with the price being slightly lower than the AVX. Should be a decent year for Callaway.

Apex will have a 2 hybrid (18*). They didn't show the black finish, but said they were working on a better finish that would hold up.

Yes the CS and CSx are the same. Most all balls with all manufacturers are on a 2 year refresh cycle. Those were just refreshed in the beginning of this (2018) year. So expect those to be done late next year. The balls being refreshed this year are the SuoerSoft and the new urethane/surlyn blend AVX competitor.

Yeah, I didn't either. I don't know of any players of any level using AVX at my club.

 

A ball that offers longer iron distance while sacrificing consistency and control on shots that affect your score greatly has never made much sense to me, especially when there are balls that will do exactly that for you at half the cost.

I saw and hit the Apex and Apex Pro yesterday. They look and feel amazing. A lot of good things coming in 2019.

I take my golf lessons at a local GolfTec and when I went in on Sunday the Apex CF16 and Pro sample heads were conspicuously missing from their wall of fitting equipment. When badgered further, my lesson coach told me that the Callaway rep had just been in the previous week to grab them, and also told them that they should get replacements (presumably of the new irons) about a month or a few weeks before the PGA show.

Seen a glimpse of it today. Like others have stated, think Seattle SuperSonics/John Deere like... It does have the slider weight and looks pretty good, I think it’s going to be a hit on here..

My fitter would agree with you, makes the fitting proceess much easier. Even this year he was doing lots of Epic hybrids because of this.

Saw it. Not a good looking sole IMO. It may grow on me but first impression was YIKES!

 

To be fair, I didn't like the Rogue when I first saw pictures of it either. It grew on me quickly. However, the color combo on the Epic Flash is just not my cup of tea...but to be fair I hate tea too LOL!
