What Does Callaway Have In Store For 2019?

Regular Apex look stunning. Will have to give them a test when released, first Callaway irons since the XHot Pro that have taken my fancy.

 

I'm not a Callaway person, says before that the woods in particular have always been a huge let down but TXG said in their 2018 review of the year that they are of the opinion that Callaway have produced the best overall 3 woods for a number of years now. They specifically mention the Rogue but state that Callaway have got it right with 3 woods. Would anyone else agree?

 

I've never liked the performance of the woods so haven't even considered them. Just curious how others have found them?

The 816 Alpha is awesome, should be able to get one cheap, really enjoying the Rogue currently.

I have not heard it in person but was watching a European event on Golf Channel and Brandon Grace had one and it sounded like the old FT heads.

Not sure, but probably because the 16 version was satin and they are trying to make this model look new and improved. Just a marketing tactic most likely, even if not preferred by the majority of low single hdcp and better players. The research probably shows that the new look will offset that with other demographics. Again just an assumption.

What I saw was PAR dates on a retail

computer inventory screen. Either way it’s close. And I prefer the regular finish.

Smoke will be an upcharge. Not sure on exact $$ for sets but looking like $100 upcharge or thereabouts.

Is pre-book the pre-order day? Also, what is PAR? Would those dates match the woods too? With that being said, is there a definitive shaft list available? I am afraid that if I don't spend this Christmas money, my wife is going to get better ideas for it :)

Up charge for the smoke is lame. Especially if you have to pay an additional up charge for shafts other than what comes stock.

Right. I don't think I've seen any actual numbers. But, the folks that have them are staff members right? Maybe they are being asked to keep it under wraps.

Honestly the only feedback I care about is those who have gamed both Epic and Rogue. My guess is the Flash isn’t much better than Rogue. Flash face in m opinion is just Callaways face marketing response to Twistface marketing for TM.
