Well apparently the M5 fairways are on backorder according to the guy I ordered from. He is saying March before I get the M5 fairway. Anyone else having the same problem?

Β

Mine is sitting on my porch currently

I preorderd on the day one

Β

So I just noticed that TM is offering the Proforce V2 80 for no upcharge. Anyone have experience with this shaft? Im thinking about ordering it to pair with the M5 15*

Β

V2 has been a rock-stable shaft for a long time. You'll like it

Β

I might just give it a go. The torque is crazy low at 1.8 for the 8F4/5. According to UST’s website they recommend tip trimming 3w 1.0” so I’m think of just going with the 8F4 instead of the 5

Thanks to an early afternoon Fedex delivery I’m on my way to the course!!

Β

At first glance it looks much cleaner then the M4 from the top, really like the thinner silver area.

Who does Taylormade use to ship? Since I have no clue when to expect my M5 tour IÒ€ℒm relying on the fed ex and ups apps telling me when a label is created, since you always have to chase discount dan around for tracking. Hopefully they donÒ€ℒt use something oddball like DHL

I have an AD-GT shaft from my M4 that I’m gonna use so I just ordered this with a Fuji Pro 2.0 shaft, as I like that as well, but nothing exotic.

Any idea if a 3hl is going to be offered in the m5 and m6 fairways? This is what I’d be interested in.

Β

It’s been asked in the past and it’s not going to be offered.

Β

Pro 2.0 reg. Very worth $50 upgrade

Β

I’m wondering if the pro 2.0 TS is worth the $150 upgrade or if I should just go with the Proforce V2....

Β

Their rationale is that the 3 launches much higher than previous 3 woods so they didn't need to offer the 3HL

Has this been confirmed by any members yet? I know both are titanium, but curious to know if they make that much difference. My son plays the M4 HL fwy and wants something hotter that will get off the deck quicker.

Are men’s & women’s head weights the same? I really don’t know. How about drivers?

Β

Are women’s swing weights lower simply due to the shorter length and lighter shaft weight?

Β

I think the M5 is titanium but the M6 is not. The price point difference is because of the titanium and moveable weight in the M5.

Okay guys was able to get the M6 out for 9 holes today but I was able to play two tee shots on every hole and the course I played only has one par three on the front side so I got 16 good swings.

Β

Looks...love it...the thinner silver section is a great improvement over the M4 and M2

Β

Direction...I’m a fairly straight driver of the ball with my usual miss being a shot out of the heel and the M6 did not disappoint...of all the tee shots, I only missed two fairways and both were definitely playable

Β

Distance...I’m not a long driver so take this for what it’s worth...the course I played today is my β€œhome” course and I play there at least once a week so I know where my tee shots will usually finish...ten of my tee shots today we’re longer than usual..4-8yds....four shots were pretty much where I usually finish and 2 shots finished 10-12yds from my usual landing area

Β

All in all I’m really happy to have the M6 replace the M4 in my bag and for me at least it was worth the upgrade.

I got my M5 yesterday, with a Kuro Kage silver DC 60x, and went to the range tonight as I didn't get home until 8pm last night. It's pretty damn solid. Not playing this weekend because super bowl weekend here in Vegas is insane. But next weekend I'm going to give it 2 rounds. Can't wait!

Good catch.

At least he’ll get replacements without having to wait to have his shipped back and inspected.
