The new Golf Channel graphics are...

Old school in a bad way.

 

Makes you really sit back and appreciate how un-distracting the old ones were

 

What is with that font? Everything is too big and too rectangular. Colors are a little too bright and have nearly zero transparency

The blue that the Golf Channel is using is reminiscent of the hue that CBS started using a few years ago. But CBS did it way better. I'm not a fontologist, but it really is distracting. I can't concentrate on the leaderboard or the stats. My brain hurts!

Flagstick in just looks like a crutch to help the ball go in and, surprise, it does. Looks silly and it is just pointless.

They said that now he considers the "COR" of the flagsticks. I guess at both Opens they use a harder stick. Would be weird to get used to almost always leaving it in.....then have to change at a couple majors

Yup. The COR is important.

 

I think he'll be fine. Seems to have adapted quickly to leaving it in or out depending on situation.

 

He's hit a lot of putts with it out today, too.

Predicting that regardless of what Patrick Reed does, there will be negative comments about him.

 

I'm having my wife and daughters talk crap about him on Twitter, and while they are at it I'll have them take after the Outback Bowl for our crappy seats - for crying out loud we were in front of the TV in the basement instead of 50 yard line at the stadium! ;-)
