Of course you will, and some of will be unfounded, there are always a few just plain old sore losers, but to lump everyone (especially many of those speaking here, ie Obee and Blade) as a loser because they’re talking about it......

Maybe you misread it, but wasn't implying that posters here were losers.

Phil has to pull this off ... 29 years between wins is Nicklaus level. .. mindbowing

So many guys are awesome for a handful of years .... but 3 decades is next level talent

Jack's back at 25 years between first and last wins.

Davis Love is 3rd overall at 29 years.

Sam Snead and Ray Floyd are the leaders at 30 years.

I think any time someone loses to a guy that shoots lower than his index there's whispers of him being a sandbagger. I attribute it more to people not understanding what handicap index represents because there's a much higher percentage of vanity cappers than sandbaggers.

I’m sure you weren’t meaning to, but right after a string of posts about Collamder and his handicap you say “losers complain about sandbaggers”.

It’s difficult to not read it that way.

I think it’s the quality of shots,,and the number of them, on this stage that is brimging out so many questions. 16’s (or 13’s) just don’t hit that many really, really good shots, especially playing in the final group of a PGA tournament on national television.

I’ve come up with a bagger test.

Ask a guy how many shots he needs to play for $100 vs a scratch guy. Most honest guys will say a number greater than their cap. The bagger will think on it a moment and usually give you number slightly less than his listed cap. Why ? He knows he has padding. And he wants the bet. And he knows that a number greater than his listed isn’t going to get the bet. You won’t get many real 13 caps to take that bet for $100 with a scratch guy. Not for only 13 shots. $100 seems to be the amount that make most squirm a touch. Not really. But it hurts to lose it vs your $5 skin etc.

Got a PM from Phil. He says Hamm's for everyone in this thread in his room tonight!!!

I messaged back he needs to tap the brakes. He hasn't won yet.

I’m curious, what do people think he “looks”like (cap wise). Based on just today he really looks 5ish or so to me (and maybe even hits it better than that, putter looks a little shaky, but a lot of that could be the greens).

Just go watch country club golf, unless it's a tournament or money game, guys are very generous with the rules to help lower their score. I see gimme's, improvement of lie on and off fairway, mulligans etc. Factor in misunderstanding and the generous use of ESC and you have a lot of vanity cappers out there.

Playing like that on a reasonably rated course he has to be a real 5-6 at most. I mean can that guy shoot 90 regularly ? I don’t think so.

Thanks so much. Less than a 10shot spread (unless I missed something) for a teen handicapper. Remarkably consistent. Hmm........

Its easy to sit at home at call FedEx guy a sandbagger but obviously CBS isn't going to air his duck hooks, shanks, and chili dips. He was hitting the ball solid but hard to judge if you're not walking with his group.

Fair point. But seeing the quality of shots he did hit that they did show (and there were several), does it jive to you with the list of posted scores?

Yep. Played many times with Don. He’s a member where I’m at. Never seen a senior stripe a set of blades like he can. Straightest ball flight I’ve ever seen. No lie. Heart surgery hampers his distance. But he still hits it so straight. For teaching pros he’s a grade A stick. His playing record isn’t rivaled by many that have worked behind the counter and on the lesson tee.
