This is such a soccer move. bullxxxx.

Yeah, golf (where you wear a collared shirt, eat snacks all day, and a manservant carries your equipment bag for you) is usually a much more brutal sport ; )

Id be surprised if these guys ever got up again!! Have a great week Bsc!

Casey is also looking out for his amateur partner and trying to help him win. Absolutely the correct call.

Listening to Phil he seemed more concerned with hitting his tee shot on 18 than anything. He told the official “then I can hit an iron of 18 and then you can call it”. Is he especially worried about that tee shot?

No its because if he hits his tee shot on 18 before the horn he has the option of finishing the hole regardless if casey wants to.Casey could refuse to hit off the tee on 18th and Phil could still finish. it would be a boss move.

****** from FedEx is even bigger sandbagger than most know. His actual GHIN is 15.3 !

Committee at Pebble did an "adjustment" on a lot of ams this year after Fitzgerald's antics. Looks like it wasn't enough for Dirty Don Colleran.

so your declaring shenanigans ?

Paul winning tomorrow would be the story of the year!

I like Paul. But at this point he doesn't deserve it. Can't blow a lead like that and then play the " it's dark card " and then if Phil implodes and you get in a playoff and win not think yourself cheap . Only way he can win now and it be clean is to hole this putt .... birdie 17 and eagle 18. Fat chance. But if he does that. Sure. Great comeback. If Phil hit one in the ocean on 17 and 18 and loses in a playoff. No not cool. My opinion of course. Knowing Paul is a great guy tells me he would agree with what I'm saying. He doesn't want to win by trickery and hope for a Phil crick in the neck tomorrow etc.

I should have clarified. I'd love it just to see Phil's reaction.

I know, that’s what didn’t make sense about Phil was saying. Maybe he was implying he would go ahead and finish out regardless of Casey like you said.

Remind me of what Fitzgerald did last year cap wise

It was 10.6 but adjusted up to 13 for the tourney. This year it was 10.8 but he was adjusted to an 8 for the tourney.

That's the boss move I wanted to see but didn't get.

I understand Casey's decision, but I wanted that spectacle.

Nice mic work on the conversation at 15. Phil slipped in and tried some reverse psychology with Casey after he sensed Casey was done. "...if you just let me tee off on 18..."

I bet Phil doesn't have a hotel room and was planting on flying home for dinner.

He could stay at Clint's place and watch, 'Every Which Way But Loose".

How many thousands of dollars difference between 2nd and 3rd place? Casey has every right to not want to finish. Hell, he could win. A lot of Casey bashing for no reason.

Phil sprinting up the fairway!?

I just wish I was t so disgusted by the bagger, it would really help to fully support Casey’s decision. I can’t help but hope the AM chops in tomorrow morning.

Short story, allegedly, Fitzgerald being the 6.6 index he is, loaded up January with a ton of scores in the 90s. Shows up to Pebble with 10.6, gets course adjustment to 13. Then he wins Pro-Am by 7 shots. Granted, a handicap win often gets the suspicious talk, and there are many "explanations", but it did prompt a change for this year.

Fitzgerald showed up with 10.8 this year and was given an 8 for the tournament.

Good point. Cus if Phil had gotten his way, guess who's the only guy finishing Monday?

I agree 100% with the first statement but you’re WAY off base with the second. Way off base.
