now go burn that outfit rory. and stop trying to be like the KING. never gonna happen.

I like all the tributes to Arnie. Someone was right though - the shoes kill that outfit. Morgan Hoffman woulda got it right.

exactly. he could have pulled it off with some beautiful classic leather shoes.

hercules? lmao. next thing he's going to be a linebacker

what ball is phil playing. got some weird stripes on it

I think its still the same Callaway, he had it marked like that in Mexico too.

I think that comes standard on the new Callaway tour ball.... chrome soft or whatever

no way... really?

I think it is that new Callaway ERC ball.

unless Callaway makes chrome soft with those marks just for him

For reals. A guy in my weekend game uses them and I asked what the hell he did to his golf ball.... he said he just pulled it out of the box.

I thought I read they are making the Softs with the lines for him. But who knows if I’m remembering correctly.

Rough is really thick. 3.5" tall. Is it always that nasty?

No, its not. Thats rye overseed for 'tournament time' and they let it grow for the pros. Its more like 5" right now for them.

I'm surprised Phil is playing. Maybe he'll have some freetime this weekend.

Obviously, this was not right. It's amazing how Phil is playing this year. Hope he can keep it going for the season!

Phil had 24 putts today.

I’ve never even dreamt of having 24 putts in a round.

Because you are Zach and dream bigger? 21 today for ZJ!

Good grief. That’s an order of magnitude better than I’ve ever done. These guys are good, wow.

It's not the ERC. It's a Chrome Soft X with ERC-like markings for alignment. Theres a thread in the golf ball forum.

Nothing against Snedeker, but noticed he walked by a bunch of kids waving, etc. (and I'm sure there are tons everywhere out there) but Rose, just a few steps behind, stops and greets every single one of them. Unusual for a tournament round I would guess, for most, but nice to see he made an exception for the little guys.

So let's give Sneds the Fred Couples treatment now and label him a dic*.

Isn't this how it works? *

*Sarcasm

Remember several years ago and when Phil was diagnosed with that arthritis and everyone thought it was the end?

Pretty remarkable what he's done.

I would be very surprised if he's not in contention come U.S. Open time.

Turned out to be a blessing, got him focused on fitness and nutrition. And Amy's illness focused him as well.

Perspective is good for golf.

Not really, because it wasn’t a knock on Snedeker - I see the sarcasm part but maybe just argue about Freddie with the anti-Freddites?

Remember the Cameron Champ hysteria?

Calm down man, hes going through swing changes.Winning early gave him that luxury. He has time. Lets not pretend he didnt qualify for the web.com, won on the web.com and then won on tour in a span of 14 months. There was no hysteria but alot of curiosity as to how he would progress. I dont understand the pile on this young man is getting, hes literally done nothing nor said anything wrong

But his scoring average isn’t 65.0
