My guess is they are tired of losing some of their share to p790 and i500.

Not necessarily in buying them but just not having that same feeling with a lower end price point iron out there. I also assume it's no different if you have the fully loaded Mustang vs base model..

I had the Gen1 PXG 0311 irons and now play the Gen2s. These new 0211s look great and should open another market segment and expand the buyer base for the company.

I personally believe the PXG 0311 forged irons are the best golf clubs in the market today (again, my opinion) and have no interest in switching.

I’m in to try them, I like the idea of a progressive set. I contemplated ordering Gen 1’s when they were on sale but it seemed like either they never had both the 0311 and xf in stock at the same time I was gonna order. Is the fitting carts that you guys have seen 7 iron only or do they have the whole set? I like my p790’s but my worst club in my whole bag is the 5 iron. Hopefully the 5-6 maybe 7 are similar to xf and 8,9,w, ang gw are like 0311

They have been engineering some of the worlds best irons for years and in a way, humble about it too. PXG, over priced, ugly and loud IMO. The only thing I can get behind is PXG's support of our military. So PXG is releasing a new "cast" iron at a more affordable cost? To me that seems more about getting a brand in the bag vs producing a quality product. Granted the new iron could be of great quality, but most people are after forged feel vs cast iron.

Opinion or fact? Don't see many wins on tour with PXG in the bag... just saying but to each is own. Still ugly.

Smaller staff than most brands, guys who are past their years of being able to consistently win it middle of the road guys. Not sure what wins on tour have to do with quality. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Great think about golf is we can play what we like and choose to not play or like things that don’t appeal to us.

100% agree, TM should make all their irons the same prices as the P7TW.

I always hear that some of the best Ping engineers got recruited to go over to PXG.

I'm far from being in that circle so I cant confirm.

That's debatable. The running joke in the industry is that PXG stands for "PING's X Guys." :)

And in response to the p790, PXG created the Operator, which looks similar to a TM Spider; but feels better.

What can I say? People listen to me. Except for that Guerin Rife. I'll get him to offer murdered out putters as a public option one day. Some day.

I've purchased a few items through the program, otherwise I could not justify the price. Thanks for your service, brother!

Likewise. Also, and I know this is totally superficial, but as a Marine, now that I know that PXG uses USMC MOS' in its naming conventions, I want to buy them even more (I always wondered why they chose 0311, but never put two and two together). Although, I am somewhat disappointed there is no 0321, 8541, or 8654 clubs (my primary and secondary MOS'). I know there is a 0317 club, but it will always be 8541 to me.

They're aware of that. That's why it's a joke. However, the respect for Bob is still sketchy.
