Don’t think USGA wanted 13 under but I hope they don’t over-react & reconsider course setup for next year. Pebble weather was pretty benign this week.

Brooks kind of got hosed on that shot into 18, I mean he crushed that 3i and went for the win. Props to BK because the dude is always fighting in these majors.

 

In the end both BK and GW showed some stones today and played solid.

Gary Woodland picks up his first major and fourth PGA Tour win.

He is the first man to win his first major in his fourth PGA Tour win since Scott Simpson up the road at Olympic in 1987.

Weird stat, Retief Goosen and Ernie Els also posted a US Open win as their fourth PGA Tour win, but their first PGA Tour wins were the US Open!

All in all, a great US Open week! Course played pretty well and it produced a nice leaderboard. Unfortunate Scotty couldn't finish off what was looking like a hell of a round through 12.
