What's everyone's thoughts about Handcrafted Hzardous Black shafts in the fairways? Seems to garner tons of attention on tour still but was curious about us regular Joe's.

Tensei pro blue 80tx for me best fairway shaft ive played in a long time

I have never had a problem with Speeder shafts and they are cheap. However, I have recently played the Diamana Blueboards, PX Evenflow Blue and the Atmos Blue and they are awesome. My number one shaft thats been in the fairway wood the longest has always been the AD DI 7s. These are all good.

Tensei pro blue, Tensei pro white if you prefer that profile, Diamana BF, Graphite Design tour ad TP (personal favorite), graphite design tour ad IZ, gd tour ad DI if tempo is very smooth, fujikura ventus, fuji atmos tour spec blue, fuji atmos tour spec patriot....those are just ones that i have hit and really like.

Diamana BF! Feels great for me. Not a low spin monster which works for me in my 3 wood. I don't want low bullets, prefer to see it fly a little higher.

I'm a fan of the Evenflow Black for fairways. Even though it is technically a low launch/low spin shaft, I am able to get optimum launch that allows me to stop the ball on the green (when I hit the green).

Diamana, and now Tensei blue or white depending on the club, I usually gravitate to the lower white profile. I always know what to expect with these shafts and the performance is excellent.

I recently bought a Cobra F8+ 4-5 Wood off eBay and it came with an Aldila NV 2KXV Green 75-S. I'm not new to golf but have only recently discovered the intricacies of clubfitting after buying this :blush: I was extremely lucky with this purchase and it's my favourite club in the bag currently. I can't believe how well I hit this combo. Haven't hit this on a LM yet but on course I get more of a mid-high launch.

i still play the old Grafalloy Tour R (black evo version of Pro-Lite), and the PX Graphite Tour issue (the blue 7D3 5.5), and have no plans of changing. If it aint broken, dont fix it.

The choice of a FW shaft has a lot to do with personal preference and the ability to produce ballspeed. The higher the speed, the more likely the player will gravitate to more stable profiles like the mentioned White profile from MRC or a HZRDUS Smoke/Black profile. The lower the ballspeed and the less athletic the player is, the softer will the profile be that fits his needs to create lift, spin and reliabilty.

The only thing, that I can tell from my years as a fitter is, that most players prefer a shaft with a lower balance point in their fairway woods. You might like a counter balanced design in your driver, but chances are very high, that you will prefer a different balance point in your fairway wood.

My personal favorites for the FW application are also the Blue MRC profiles and currently, I enjoy the HZRDUS Red in my 917F2 #4 wood.

I have an Aldila NV 2KXV Blue 70, 1/2" below standard length in my F8 3 wood right now and it is an absolute cannon. I've never been able to hit a fairway wood like this before. Off the ground or off the tee it has been amazing. I'm honestly considering just driving with this club from now on, I'm usually only about 10-15 yards short of my driver and much more likely to be on grass that has seen a mower.

My all time favorites in a Fairway are the Diamana Blue Board 83, Aldila VS Proto 80, and Rogue Black 80 (if you're into a more counter balanced feel).

I have been elated with the Kai'Li 70/80 series in my bag. I tried the Tensei Blue Pro 70x, felt great but felt the same as my Kai'Li so not worth buying for ME. The non-Pro is a noodle, don't care for it.

Oban Kyoshi Purple for me. It doesn't hit the ball the farthest but sure keeps is straight.

Currently playing an Evo IV 757 but probably going to go Atmos Blue soon. Previously had a Motore Speeder Ts 7.3 and that was probably the best I've hit. I could go back to one but hoping the Atmos TS Blue will be similar with upgraded tech.

Years ago prolaunch blue made a nice fairway. Not sure if still. But can probably find on eBay for pennies , just make sure it's the one designated "fairway" or "FW" on the shaft

Anyone compare the HZRDUS smoke yellow and the HZRDUS Red? Just got fit for a HZRDUS yellow in a TS3 and am contemplating going with the yellow or red for my epic flash SZ 3 wood. Would like a higher launch and spin in the 3 wood so leaning towards the red but was wondering if anyone’s done a comparison.
