Any new TM drivers in the works?

That’s great. But what’s this gonna do for me in the sim? Which one will launch higher and which one will spin less?

Exactly which makes them not even close to being the same. Both are going to be low launch and low spin. The black will have a stiffer tip and mid section compared to the yellow. The black has generally been a fit for those with aggressive transactions and higher swing speeds with the yellow usually fitting throes with a smooth transition and above 100 mph ss

The old black yes. The black smoke not even close. The evenflow white was the tru low launch low spin, apressive transition. I’m that player. The smoke black is way more general and I would not recommend it for a hard transition. The old black, absolutely.

Face to heel pic in this threadCompared to the same pic of the m6 on the TM site suggests the SIM has a very shallow face. You can see that the crown on sim doesn't have much curve compared to m6. The back weight is definitely lower too.

For now, those are about as ugly as ANYTHING I’ve seen lately. I’ll have to seee the driver in person but looks like I’ll be hanging on to my m5 tour and m5 5 wood! No thanks TaylorMade!!

I have the M5, M5 Tour and M5 3/5 fwys. Both the SIM

driver and SIM Ti fwys look way better in person imho. So so good!

I can’t wait to hit it. I love my M4. It’s been in my bag for two years come Jan as I was lucky that Golfwrx and and TaylorMade allowed me to participate in the TwistFace experience back in Jan 2018.

Thus far, nothing has been better.

The uk reviewers usually get the tm stuff about the time of release. Will be interesting to see what they find compared to prior tm drivers as well as other oem drivers.

I hope the aftermarket weights will be available soon after the launch. It’s a shame the TaylorMade won’t adjust swingweight on custom orders. 45.75” is way too long for me.

I feel your pain! I hope the info is accurate. I buy my gear from Ben @ The Tour Van. He normally has all the weights and of course, hotmelt. Plus he’s going to be far more precise with nailing desired specs than any OEM.

I’m interested in trying these clubs however my Callaway EF woods and hybrid are treating me very, very, very well.

Not sure I agree with this since I am a hard transition guy and the smoke is magic in my hands. Once again, use the forum to guide your search, but always get fit. Every swing is unique so generalizations are usually worthless.

All the SMOKE's have "stiff" tips. The OG HZRDUS black was rebar. No one can contest this. The SMOKE black was meant to play softer and with less of a heavy head feel. So in short its not as tip heavy. The SMOKE black 6.5 80 gram, which is really a heavy sided 70 gram flex shaft, is one of the best fairway shafts ever. I had to tip it 1.5" to make it playable. BTW I have been fitted by Titleist. The general reason people get along with the smoke is that the higher torque causes a slightly faster closer rate on the head , which usually produces a more penetrating draw for most. A true tip stiff shaft with a lower torque rating will hold off on the heads rate of closer and actually launch a little higher with a hair lower spin. The problem with stating the SMOKE black, not the OG black, is for hard transitions, is that they fall light in there perspective classes and their torque rating make them squishy feeling. If someone has a hard transition they look towards a statically heavy shaft first, and the profile in second. So the SMOKE Black a 60 gram is really a heavy 50 gram class, a 70 a heavy 60 gram and of course as stated above, the 80 is a heavy 70 gram class. Ive read through the forums and most people gave up on them, the ones who have not, found tipping them a little made them a more playable shaft. I need up finishing my season last year with the Yellow HZRDUS Small batch 6.5 TX in driver and the Smoke 80 6.5 tipped 1.5" in fairway and could not have been happier.

After seeing this the hype is ridiculous.....the SIM is basically a M6 with a front sliding track. The SIM Max is a M6........

I'm sure there is a bunch of new fangled tech jargon that will do nothing better than the previous gen.
