I'm almost two weeks into my ownership of a TS3 with Evenflow T1000 shaft and I will agree with your thoughts on the sound. However, given that I'm 10-15 yards further and in the FW compared to my M4, I'll get over it...... quickly. I love this driver!

Any number of places can have it hot melted for you, including @"Continental Golf" here on the forums. Easy fix that will make a difference.

Mine had a high pitch noise to it, I had hotmelt added to my TS3 and TS4 and now sounds like a wooden baseball bat, love it!

I have gamed the 915, 917 and currently the TS3. The TS3 is the best sounding by far when centered. If off a bit it gets higher pitched but not as much as the other 2 imo. Great sounding driver.

Usually 2-4g is enough. The more you add across a wider area of the sole, the more it will mute the sound. You can change out weights to compensate for the increase in head weight if it feels too heavy for you.

Hot melt is the way to go, but first try a cheap and quick fix. Try a lower compression ball. I would highly recommend the Wilson Duo Professional. I think you'll be surprised at how much difference this can make on sound.

So, I wanted to give a update..

At the request of titleist customer service, I removed the weight cartridge and reinstalled. I found it was set for a draw and set it for neutral(not sure why it came this way). Anyway, I also removed shaft and reinstalled per their request. One thing they did emphasize was not overtighten the weight screw. Essentially tighten until resistance is felt and just a smidge more once resistance was felt. After this was done, I hit a few shots. I admit I was skeptical, but there was a definite improvement. While it's still not ideal to me, it definitely has less volume and high pitch frequency at impact. I plan to monitor and hopefully learn to live with it for now. If not, hotmelt will be the next step. I'd also like to try a different shaft just to eliminate that possibility. Overall, the results are great pertaining to flight and spin.

I initially bought mine with the Evenflow shaft. Felt very boardy and made the overall feel seem more like a "crash" than a pleasant "thwack." Switched to a Diamana white and it's a much smoother feel.

I don’t play this head and actually play an old Epic SZ but I used a TS3 head with an X flex Hzrdus Smoke in a rental set a few weeks ago. I was so impressed with the head/shaft combo. To me the carbon-headed drivers can sound a little too muted and I don’t remember anything bad about the sound of the TS3 at all.

I loved the sound and the ball flight... Beyond impressed with that combo.

same , not as good sounding as other drivers but when I walk past the other guys and get to chirp that there is a Walmart between our balls ...

So just to reiterate, Titliest told you on the CG cartridge to not turn the torque wrench until you hear a click rather tighten until you have resistance just before the click. I have an 818H2 and dont want to ruin the head by over tightening the CG cartridge.

Nice! Wish Titleist had presented this information before I played around with weights on my TS3 driver and fairway wood!

Maybe Titleist wrenches shouldn't have "tighten until click" printed on them lol

I dont know if it was just coincidence or what but i purchased my TS3 driver with an evenflow t1100 shaft and swapped it out for the diamana d+ white that ive played for 6-7 years and the sound went from a louder ping to a more muted sound. I agree that even at its loudest that TS3 is significantly quieter than the 915 was.
