Was really hoping the International team would win this won... It's the best they've fought in years, for sure, but it's just another ho-hum President's Cup in the end. Who knows if the next International team will be this strong, but how many Cups does the USA team have to win in a row for this event to not mean anything anymore?

If I'm in Ponte Vedra at PGA HQ I would seriously start to think about what can be done about the format because as an entertainment product even though this round was good it's starting to becomes a little boring with US winning all the time. US has 6 players in the Top10 and the best International was Adam Scott at 18 so statistically it was a miracle it was even this tight. Restrict nr of players that can participate from the Top10 + reduce the weight of the singles matches. For the US it would actually be a good trial ground to test players and groom them for the Ryder Cup, now it's a copy of the Ryder Cup team. Oh well, at least we got some good gold in December.

Man, I watched most of this event, it was a pretty compelling watch the last two days. Tiger was the difference. The way he called out his guys after the first day and they responded perfectly, and allowed Tiger to rest yesterday to make sure they got the first point for the singles. Els said that was the turning point today. Ernie Els is a heck of a captain, had all of this guys punching above their weight.

 

Love the course too... it was crazy to watch how the firmness of the greens forced the players to aim away from the holes in order to get the ball close.

Interesting point, the Ryder Cup was the same until they expanded the selections from GB&I to all of Europe.
