Not sure if this has been discussed but I feel like this might be the least played tour iron on tour. Is anybody going to put it in the bag? I can’t imagine they would. It feels a lot like the iron version of the AVX. Could be wrong, have been before.

Not everything is designed for the tour or needs tour validation. Titleist is filing a need of the consumer

With that fitter research in mind, Titleist launched new T100•S irons, which are engineered 2-degrees stronger than the original set.

Remember, T100, which replaced the popular AP2 design, were designed with help from Tour players. Therefore, the look, feel and performance are geared for what better players prefer. The T100•S irons are just designed for more ball speed.

So, really dumb question, the theory behind these is that if your T100 are the same loft as the T100S, the T100S will still go farther? (Yes I am aware they aren't just asking a theoretical question)

The tungsten weights are moved as well. Its a much different club when you see the actual changes that were implemented

Titleist just introduced the T-400 irons. Talk about jacked, PW is 38* compared to T-100-s PW is 44*, T-100 PW is 46* and my 620MB PW is 47*. Titleist T-400 longest iron is 5i at 20* compared to my 620CB 5i is 27*. Honestly, this is getting silly.

Nicklaus and his compadres say the ball is golfs problem.

I am looking at these from another angle. I am a firm believer of worrying less about the loft and focusing on the distance the iron gives you. My Apex 4i is stronger than my Apex Pro 4i but I hit them the same distance due to the lower COG.

I had 712 AP2's prior to the Apex Pros and I hit them significantly less than my A/P's. I am 1-1.5 clubs longer with the A/P's. I have read numerous threads about people comparing the T-100's to their AP2's. For ME, I hit the AP2's too short due to their spin/face design.

If I have a chance to play an iron that visually looks good/feels good to me and gives me the #'s I want, I could care less if it's a 44* or 46* PW. I want that club to be 130yds regardless!

Well the golf segment with the most money is the older golfer. With all the other OEMs going to super jacked lofts not suprised to see TItleist going same route T400 defintely better looking than say Epic forged or any Rogue x and they also dont have a crazy amount of offset. SHould be a big seller for Titleist along with T100S havent played Titlesit irons in years since I needed more distance may need to check out the T100 S

Love my T100’s and don’t have any buyers remorse here. My 7i carries 185 and I have no need to improve on that. Nothing wrong with Titleist coming out with the S to fill a gap in the market. They are listening to feedback and implementing solutions!

Yep, lot's of youngsters hit 7 iron 185 yards only very few hit it straight. My son hits 5i over 200yds and driver 290 but both mostly end up in junk.

Probably could have been said like above...or compare it to the yardage of the 100s....otherwise it sounds like..." I drove the ball well with my new driver ....shot 62....but didnt make any putts...but i get it....

Another possible benefit to the T100S is for those T100 golfers who use AVX to gain additional distance but miss the greenside spin. The T100S offers those players the chance to pair these irons with a traditional premium ball for the short game spin.
