Does anybody else notice Faldo's bias

I’m sure there’s something to it but I’ve seen him be pretty tough on Rory in the past. I’d take him over Azinger any day.

Faldo doesn’t bother me like he seems to others here on WRX. I find most of what he says pretty insightful. 
 

What does irritate me is the fawning referrals to Sir Nick.  That’s all fine across the pond, but here on our shores we don’t knight people and we shouldn’t be cowtowing to anyones title.

Faldo is the last of CBS broadcast teams problems ... simply no talent anywhere. Funny now the pictures and production are so good unlike the past under Cherkian and awful Barrows. But now the broadcast team is horrible compared to the past.

Actually that's a heck of an assumption to make. We cringe about the way you lot faun over him. To us, he's just Nick. Same with 'Dame' Laura Davies. Over here everyone, including our golf commentators take the mickey out of both of them. It's just one of those daft ways we reward success, it doesn't 'elevate' anyone's status. And some here don't like Nick either, and that's ok too. And btw, it's Kowtowing, from the Chinese...just saying.

I haven’t heard anything either of them have said in years. Watching golf is a very interactive event for me. Between skipping forward 30 seconds multiple times a hitting mute I’m a busy guy.

Regardless of the network Faldo works for, he's going to be a bit of bias toward Europeans.  He's a Euro.  I got no problem with Faldo, I like his style of announcing.  And I don't hear his bias that often.  Plus NO announcer can make everyone happy, doesn't matter where he or she is from.

 

Everyone has a bias to some extent, the question is whether it's realistically founded...

I think he does a very solid job. From what I have seen, he appreciates strong golf performance regardless of the player’s nationality.

There’s nothing wrong per se in having biases.  It’s how humans survive and reproduce (have so far, anyway).  It’s only objectionable to me when you have them and pretend not to.

 

It’s actually funny when people here criticize Faldo or even Chamblee when they talk about various aspects of playing golf, as if they (the GolfWRX “4 handicappers”) know better.

Fair enough on faldo, but chamber is annoying, talking up his knowledge of the swing to try and sell books and get endorsement deals like that stupid zen of golf thing.

Oh, the snowflakes were upset that he spoiled the taped airing of Rory's bunker hole-out on 18 by about 5 seconds with his intro.

 

Faldo isn't the Johnny Miller of analysts - though come to think of it, Johnny used to get a lot of hate on here too, and also spoiled the "better than most" moment for the Tiger fans by interjecting "how about in" during Koch's call - but he is indeed better than most in that role.
