Evo2 was the best shaft out of the line. Have one in my 3wood. Played it in my driver for a bit. Really good shaft. But I got just a tad better smash factor with my 125msi rogue.

Is evo7 counter balanced? Does it have the same feel as the evo2?

It is not counterbalanced no. But keep in mind every new shaft we release has a higher balance point than shafts say 5-10 years ago to keep up with the heavier heads on the market these days... And the feel is subjective, so it's tough to answer that. More modern materials in the 7 for sure, so it may feel "better"

If i really like the feel and performance of evo2, which ventus would be best?

We appreciate the feedback and we know it can be challenging at times to keep up with shafts including the Speeder line. The Speeder line is developed by our counterparts at our Tokyo offices and produced at our Japan facility. They have continued to innovate the Evolution line with new materials & design methodologies, but have kept the naming and cosmetics consistent which could lead to some confusion as to how they differentiate. That being said, their recipe for this global product has been incredibly successful worldwide, particularly in Japan and in the Japan OEM market. The Japan market is considerably different from others, especially here in the states, so we do our best to meet the needs of all of the global markets we sell in, but at times there certainly can be confusion due to the global nature of the product line. SPEEDER is one of those brands that is so strong in our industry and for our company that we can't easily retire it and move on. It is part of our history and success.

We here at Fujikura Composite America (based in Carlsbad, CA) have a different team, mindsets and methodologies about how we not only develop products but how we bring them to market. As some of you may know from events we've done like the Fuji ventus Experience, we have a full team of engineers, sales, marketing, technicians, etc at our US HQ. When we develop products, we do our best to make the product stories clear and easy to understand for not only our clubfitters, but for golfers like you. Examples like ATMOS and Ventus with the 3 color launch system are ways in which we've strived to differentiate them and easy to grasp. And keep in mind our goals and intended target markets can vary from our Japan team's at times; i.e. Tour only, clubfitters only, etc.

Again, we appreciate any and all feedback you guys have for us. We're on the forums very frequently reading what you have to say and we do our best to disseminate the feedback throughout our global organization so that we can learn and always strive to improve.

EVO 7 is a great part and we're confident that clubfitters will have success with it and it will also be successful on global professional Tours. More to come!

I for one love the model names as it's very similar to the Lancer Evolution series of cars.  Would be cool of the paint would be based on one of the car colours of each gen.

My only feedback on the website on the chart that shows how thye launch would be if you can put the whole family since a lot of folks play the older ones (including myself i use the  Evo IV).

Black as Evo 2 was low/low

Tried, and wanted to like the blue in my 3wood. Love it in driver and hybrid. But it didn't beat my evo2 in 3wood. Actually found slightly faster ballspeeds with evo and more consistent shot shape I prefer. While you won't be able to claim ventus in all my woods, you can lay claim to fujikura in them all...

Evo 5 is the closest to Evo 3 as far as launch and spin, 5 was the replacement for 3 basically. if you like Evo 3 then Ventus Red would be a great option for you to try, both have fairly soft tips relatively speaking.

Evo 7 feels much different than 3 with that pitch woven 70t in there and it will launch lower and spin less than 3. Evo 7 is seeming close to Evo 2 in our testing.

We realize the #s can be confusing, we do our best to try and position these shafts in a way you can understand. Let me know of any other questions.

Thank you for contributing to these threads.

Can you compare Evo 4 to Evo 7 and Ventus?

Evo 4 was awesome, looking for newer tech and performance

Knowing how much Matt wants a neutral flight and watching that video there is no way he doesn't make the switch. Even his misses had reduced shape. Interested to see them throw it in some other heads as well and see what happens.

Curious once Matt tries the G425 LST if this pushes out the early favorite for his 2021 bag the Tsi3.

I play the VI (6) 661 in my driver, and was just fit for the 757 VII (7) for new 3 wood by Coolclubs.  Sick accuracy on the 3 wood, and I'll be moving over from a Tensei Blue CKPro 70TX.

My suggestion to all of you- go to brand agnostic fitters.

Anyone else had a chance to demo this shaft yet?

I'm really intrigued by this one, my favorite shaft ever was the 2014 white Motore Speeder and this seems to be a slightly lower launching version if you go by the Fuji site guidance and the profile.

I have the Evo VII and it is a really good mid to slightly mid/high launch shaft option that has a more lively feel and a little more spin than Ventus Blue. I think it plays right in between the Motore X F3 and F1.

Hello Knudson81 - Do you know how it fairs to the Ventus Red or the Speeder Vl?  Thank you and stay safe.

Slightly softer handle section and a little easier to turn over and hit a draw with. Similar launch to Red. I haven't hit the Evo VI, so no comparison there.

Does anyone know anything about this shaft. Lots of Japan websites have it listed already but haven’t heard anything here in the US. Thanks

Received the following information from Fujikura when asked how does the VII compare to the IV:

The Speeder Evolution 7 has a little softer tip section than the Speeder Evolution 4.”
