Gonna need more time with these...... ton of bad shots to start the round but did finish with decent irons on last few holes

Gen 2 pxg combo went back ......thinking the elevate 95 not a good fit for me.....grabbed T200 4-gw with amt black and these fit my transition much better

Struggle buss with these today. Starting to think I am not good enough iron player for these. 10 capper with a good short game and descent driving.

My 0211 4 iron is just money. Ugh. Go back to the 0211’s? Maybe....

Don't base your decision based off just one day.

I know it is not so simple (or cheap), but that is what the P line is there for.  I was a bit intimidated by the T, and the XF (at least in Gen2) are almost too chunky. But the P (or original 0311) are really a great middle ground.  I can’t speak to why you are struggling, but if you wanted to stay in the forged PXG’s, maybe give the P a go.  Good luck sorting it out.

Yes, the P’s the way I should have went. I got a good deal in the T heads from another GolfWrxer and wanted to give them a go. I’ll keep working with them and see. They are great irons when struck well so I just need to work on that.

Yep, I got you.  In a rare feat of resistance and good sense for me, I have avoided picking up some good deals on T irons.  Just no real reason for me to go there with the P line available.  I'm a 15 HC, and I was playing some of my best golf of the season with a set of OG 0311 irons with NS Pro 950 stiff shafts (picked up used), until the steel shaft monsters started attacking my joints and I had to go back to SFs or Recoils.

Same here I was playin Apex pro 19 and went with all 311T and pxg might be more forgiving than my Apex. Great irons and with the price blowouts everyone should hit them if they can.

I have Apex 19 combo set and thinking of pulling the trigger on a 0311T set. How is head size/top line compared to the Apex Pro’s?

Forgiveness seems top notch just trying to get a feel for size.

T's have been great for me.  Realizing I'm not as flexible, athletic, or physically healthy as I used to be and need to take an extra club or two at times has been a struggle 🤣

Wait WRXrs aren't supposed to admit that 🤭

I miss the days of playing PW from 150-155 out.

Went for a fitting to see how the T’s were. Currently playing Apex Combo 2 degree up with DG S300s. Fitted into Nippon Modus 105s and 2 degrees flat! That was certainly a surprise.

What really was eye-opening was the performance. Hit my 7 side by side and launch, spin and descent were very similar. However, the carry on the 0311s was significantly longer, 6-8/9 yards or so? Really surprising as Apex is 30.5 degrees and the 0311T is 32 degrees.

Really liked the topline, overall look and performance. Only thing is I wish the soles were a little bit thinner?

I went from Ping S55 to Gen2 P to Gen3 T and it was the best move yet. They're longer than Gen2 P, same shafts, and play exactly like my the S55. Turf interaction has never been a problem. I've stated this before, they're just a modern s55 which is one of the most outstanding irons Ping has ever produced. Makes sense since the same guy's engineered both sets.

Thanks for the feedback. I hit off mats so the comments re. turf interaction are good to hear.

I think these irons look fantastic online but I haven’t seen them in person. For you guys that have them are you buying from a PXG fitting studio or custom builders that sale PXG?

Most use the local PXG fitters and studios. You can also give them a call, they have fitters who can help you OTP.

Got my Gen 3 0311T a few days ago, absolutely beautiful.  Comments on these being a modern day S55 are spot on.  Feel, sound, and a slightly larger look, but less offset.  Haven't had them on the course yet but am hoping to this week.

What have you played in the past. Pics online can be deceiving. Looks/forgiveness compared to p7mc/p750/jpx921tours. 3 irons which I religiously go between lol.

Closest I have played to those was the P770 (new version).  But I currently own some MP20 MMC and some Z745 after just having sold my S55 to make room for the 0311T which to me, is essentially a slightly larger S55.  I have not gotten out to play with them yet as the covid hit me this past week but I may be able to make it tomorrow so I will have more insight after that.

I'd say size wise, they are pretty close to the P770, close even in the overall looks department.  I didn't love the P770 though from a feel standpoint and I can already tell from just taking some 3/4 swings that the 0311T feel much better.  That's about all I can offer right now!  Sorry!  Hope to have more tomorrow!

Much appreciated! I was trying to get a size comparison. Some say the 0311p are too big and others say not. I’m used to the players cavity back size. So if they are in line with the newer p770 then they are fine with me. Might snap a 0311p for the 4 iron and run the rest 0311t. Few 200+ par 3s at neighboring courses. Thanks again hope you are feeling better. Stay healthy and play well!

Thanks man!  Yeah, I haven't seen the P in person but my guess is it is closer to an i210 which to me is totally tolerable.  I may do like you and order a P 4i at some point.  I thought about doing a combo set but I could hit the S55 just fine and they were slightly smaller than the 0311T.  My only concern is I may need these bent a degree flat.  I have always been standard for the most part but my S55 were red dot and I was hitting them beautifully as well as the MMC are flatter from the factory and I have been hitting them the best of all.

Other than that the PXG are beautiful clubs.  They look like Pings with the satin finish and white bottom groove and for some reason that looks gives me comfort.  I should have added, the 0311T look to have the same type of offset as the P770... None.  LOL  They just hide it very well.

From what I see, my Gen 0311P irons are larger than the ZX7 and larger than the ZX5 irons-bit more offset on the PXGs as well.

I have ordered the 0311T in the 8-PW and will compare them to the 0311P.

I am thinking the 0311T will be very similar to the ZX7s but more forgiving.

Thats my hope at least and then I would combo with the 0311P.

The ZX7s feel more solid than the 0311P but they both feel really good.

The ZX5 and 0311P long irons are eaqually easier for me to hit consistently than the ZX7s.

Can’t go wrong with either.

TBH, I will gladly play the 0311P but I do like the lesser offset of the Srixons-that’s my only reason to try the 0311T short irons.

LOL, oh come on man. The PXGs are so ridiculously hideous with all those screws. I would seriously not be able pull one from my bag without cracking up laughing.

They look nothing like Pings.

You edited my quote, so it's lacking context but yes, from address, they look very similar to the S55 I had.  You have obvious bias and I would guess have never had a PXG iron in your hands, and that's your choice but there are definite similarities there having owned both.  But feel free to steer clear of PXG, lots of other options there for you.

I'll go with attractive, but not beautiful.  I personally reserve that category for things like Wilson staff blades or other simple looking chrome blades (MP-68's as another example).

Looks aside, the Ts have been fantastic (3-GW) and not leaving the bag, unless they reduce the price on the 0311ST G3.  If they do that I will get those in a heartbeat.  Consistent distance, minimal offset, thin topline, excellent turf interaction and just enough forgiveness.  Quality product indeed, for me.

Photos of the ZX7, 0311P and 0311T wedge.

TBH, I was playing the 03111T wedge by mistake with my 0311P iron set in my garage SIM. Even though there is a size difference, I honestly thought I was playing the 0311P until I put the clubs back in the bag and saw it was the T wedge.

0311T felt firmer than the P.

Wow great shots! Ask and you shall receive. I wish I could have gotten along with the zx7 but I’m on the shallow side angle of attack was between 2-3° down on a 6 iron and I was having a major issue from the fairway with them. I have no idea if it was just mental with the v soles. I do tend to get along better with narrow soles for my slight sweeping action. Those T’s look great.

Shallow would work well with the 0311T.

Ive only hit indoors so I am anxious to see how they respond on the course.

ZX7s are still one of the best, but the 0311P offer more forgiveness without the thick top line and unpleasant offset more forgiving irons seems to always have.
