New PXG 0211 Line

I may be the only one who really likes the looks of the original better. Couldn’t get past the giant badge. The extra length and upped lofts turned me off also, so I stuck with the originals and picked up a set of gen 2 instead since they dropped the price on them also

Can’t go wrong there. I ordered the new ones 1/2” short (normal length) and am hoping that the strong lofts don’t bother me. The original 0211s were the best iron I’d used for many years.

FedEx truck pulled into driveway this morning with mine. Tracking said Monday but I'm sure not gonna complain. Lol. Week & a half from order to front door. I'm impressed with how quickly they were able to turn these around. They look great. Ordered 6-PW 1 degree weak, AW loft was left alone & SW was 1 degree strong to even out gaps for me. All were half inch shorter in length. Can't wait to try them out. Stupid snow....

Also called PXG customer service & was able to get a credit cause I bought them before the latest price drop. All good.

Got mine on the  course today.  They feel amazing, so much better than the old model. I know they are stronger lofted, but they launch high enough to hold greens. Just have to adjust to the extra distance. Getting at least 10 yards for each club. Course was difficult today due to the greens being rock solid due to overnight frost. Hit some great shots pin  high only for them to bounce about 20 yards through the green. Can not wait for it to get warmer to give them a proper test.

Can you elaborate on the feel vs. gen 1?

I'm looking forward to hitting mine.

It's so much better than gen2 0211 irons, much closer to the forged gen 2. Feel soft and powerful. Ball just jumps off the face.

I like the extra distance I am getting. So easy to hit and launch nice and high. Can not wait until conditions improve to give them a proper test.

Never thought I would say it, but may consider grabbing these in 6-P, love the elevate tour, if they had a decent free grip would be sub $500.

would be $495 with stock grip, but added a basic tour velvet and shipping goes over $600. $60 shipping?

Order without the grips installed and add your own. Their PXG grips are lamkin and are not awful as people make them out.

Call them and order and you save $5/ club and they have a couple grip options not listed.

They are Lamkin grips, but not the same Z5 you can buy from Lamkin. They’re super slick after about 1 rd. Every time I’ve bought something Pxg they come straight off

Agree. I have PXG not even install them. They are terrible grips.

I’m trying to decide what to do with my PXG pricing credit.

Has anyone hit the new 0211 sand and lob wedges?

Yes , I have 5- LW and also the AW.

They look fantastic behind the ball. Feel fantastic and so easy to hit. What i noticed it was easier for me to chip with the AW,SW,LW. Not had a chance to test them in  any bunkers yet.

Very forgiving, I prefer wedges like this over blade wedges as I need all the help I can get.

Has anyone tried the woods?  They sure look nice and the price is not bad.

I have the 5 wood with the riptide shaft in it. Also have a gen w 3w and 7w. The do not feel as soft as the gen 2 woods. More solid feeling and sounding woods. Very easy to hit, and launch easy.

Got the 5 wood just to fill the gap as my 3 wood is more a tee club. Love the rails for hitting from the deck , as it gives me better solid hits as I am pretty steep with my woods.

The fairway is what I am most interest in. Ian steep like you said you were. Use my 3 wood 4 times around off the deck. Do those rails really help? I need more launch too.

Only used from the rough once and the rails work. We have to use mats in the fairway over in Scotland to protect the course.

I ordered mine 1 inch long so it's closer to high launch 3 wood, my 7 wood is 1 inch longer as well so it's closer to my old heaven wood. It does launch higher than my 3 wood and it's only about 10 yards shorter. But I can hit it good off the deck every time , where as I hit the 3 wood maybe 1 out of 3 times ok

I wouldn't have guessed I would get mine Saturday. 4 inches of snow on the ground so any use they get will be indoors for the foreseeable future.

I was impressed at how good they look. I have an abundance of iron sets to compare them to & they remind me most of the TM P790's.

The first gen p790 irons, or the second gen?  I tried the original p790 irons and didn't like the feel at all...

I’ve played a Cobra F9 3 wood with rails and they definitely help off turf. The shape of the 0211 looks excellent, but if it didn’t have rails I probably wouldn’t want it. For me 3 wood really is a second off-the-tee club that I will use off turf if I have a good lie. Otherwise I go 5 or 7 wood (I don’t carry a hybrid.) If the 3 wood is forgiving for both that’s always nice. The vid review in this thread showed it maintaining great speed and launch hit all over the face.

Gotta remember they are ping people and ping builds their clubs lite.
c8-d0 on my set of 0211s

I just got a gen2 set, deliberately ordered heavier than I wanted, and they still came in lighter than I wanted.
I would be willing to pay extra for them to just put the stuff in a box and let me build it myself.
