The key factor for all of them being that all their careers were a long time ago. Before they changed the rules to try to pick up the pace. And I don’t think Faldo mentioned him probing around yesterday, decided to add that after hearing everything else. 
 

Bottom line for them, the official said he was good. That should be enough for them too.

I am no fan of Reed but at least he has done something with his life.  Nantz is "look at me - I am handsome and smarmy."   He is also usually fawning and obsequious.    Kisses up to some CEO or celeb on a regular basis too.  I much prefer Johnny Miller's somewhat acerbic personality.

 

I almost want Reed to win except Hovland is so awesome and likable.   However, Nantz head may explode if P Reed wins.   So it might be worth it.

It’s become way too acceptable for people to inject their ‘opinions’ as golf commentators on TV. There is a rule book for a reason. 
 

Won’t be long, there will be law suites for libel.

Deja Vu for me too. I was on an exchange to UCSD and walked down the beach path with my surfboard thinking I was going to catch some waves and scope some nude women bathers. Nantz hasn’t done anything with his life? He’s doing the play-by-play for the Super Bowl, the NCAA Tournament, and the Masters in a 9 week stretch. He might be considered the greatest sports announcer in history when he finally retires.

I was flipping between a hockey game and some early coverage.  Is it just me or is Sam Ryder really slow?  I don't know if they were waiting on a group to clear, but it sure seemed to be a long time to even grab a club, and then a long time to actually swing it.

The 2020 Masters converted me to actually watching PGA on TV, (decided this week to pay the 60$ to get NBC Gold for the 2021 season). How do they decide what groups to cover throughout the week? It seemed kind of random. 

 

Switched over to CBS to catch coverage of the lead group.... is this how bad most tournament coverage is?? How do they rationalize only showing 2/3 of the leader groups shots? The coverage overall seems almost schizophrenic...

Speaking to their injections of implied wrong-doing by the players when there is nothing of substance to that in the rule book. There was implied context to that post.

I’m still trying to understand how balls can embed after bouncing once. This happened to both Reed and RM. I can understand a ball spinning into the grass, but not embedding to the point of saying mud. 
7 people in the Reed group did not see the bounce, and I assume the same for Rorys group.

Typically I would agree with you 2B. If it’s a judgment call by the official. But this isn’t judgement, just interpretation of the rule.
