My first car - 1984 Buick Riviera

(I found a picture of one just like it)

It was nicknamed  "The Passion Wagon"

That might be a little bit too much information Ferg!

Hopefully Finau can use this result as inspiration to get over the line more often. He's a genuinely nice bloke, and a hugely impressive ballstriker and player.

His interview after the round was right on the money. No doom and gloom, just positive elements to take away and hopefully use productively. You can't help but like the lad, and he's got probably the best mindset in pro golf for dealing with adversity - if making a truckload of money for a rash of top ten finishes is adversity - after Dustin Johnson.

Really hoping for good news for Camillo. After everything that he has had to go through, the like of which I cannot even begin to comprehend, I have nothing but positive thoughts for him.

The emotion Max showed was great.  GOOD FOR HIM, IT MEANT A LOT .. and has to be amazing winning an event you watched all the way from your childhood

With Homa making fun of swings there should be some teasing going on about his gait. “Ginger steps” etc

Not as awkward as the great Jimmy Demaret though

Raymond Floyd and Mark James would take Homa and Demaret in an Awkward Gait money match. They're pretty much the Dream Team.

Its called lens compression. Telephoto lenses squish things in the foreground and background together. The cameras at the tee and green are at least up to 1000mm zoom if not 2000mm. It's part of why undulations are so hard to film. Human eyes are around 22mm to 50mm depending how you slice it.

Thanks for the photos. As a hobby photographer, I can relate, this can be super deceiving. You can make a model look fat with a wide lens and vice versa, that’s why the 80-90 mm focal length range is universally accepted for portrait photography.

Also, I think it’s pretty obvious from the angle behind Homa when he took the shot, that the ball was pretty close to the tree, but he swung in the path that went along the treetrunk.

To me, it first looked like he had to chip back towards the teebox, but he actually got a little lucky with where the ball ended up in relation to the hole. Great hooking chip, while it looked like he almost raked it...still, impressive shot!

That being said, no need to trash @powerplay007, he just asked and many saw it, too.

Edit: I didn’t mean @Fairways_and_Greens, but some of the earlier comments.

I didn’t mean you! Your post was pretty helpful, I meant the snarky comments from others. Sorry, no offense!

Still photography can be challenging.   I find myself time and again going back to shooting with my trusty Sony VCK-2000, known as the Bob Crane model.   I could have zoomed in on Homa's ball and counted the dimples - que sera sera.

Happy that Homa won, super likeable guy.
But I can’t handle Shane Bacon’s fanboying on the GC this morning. It’s a little too much IMO. We get it, you’re friends.

That’s great to see. Nobody should have to go through what him and his wife have. My heart goes out to them. I root for him every time he tees it up. I remember back in the day he was a PGA poster boy. Edgy, good looks, the whole Spider Man greens reading technique. Won a few tournaments fairly early on. Then sort of just faded away. The only press I’d see on him was how much he liked riding his road racing bike. The story kind of reminds me of little Ricky’s path so far.

Tony Finau and Chick-fil-A is a perfect sponsorship match that needs to happen.

Subtle....but effective.  Hey wait!  Tony has a career where he generally works on Sundays😉

For a better sponsor match that most will have never heard of.....Try Rumbi Grill as the one.  It is also headquarters in UT! 😋
