Are you suggesting some shenanigans?

I feel bad for Tony. He is a really good guy. But sometimes I see really bad body language from him.  He doesn’t seem to exude a lot of confidence.

I honestly don’t know, it just seemed very odd and the ball looked further away from the tree trunk to me. I find it very hard to believe the ball could have been moved with all the cameras and everything so I don’t know what to make of it. I was just wondering if anyone else saw it the same way.

Am I the only one that saw Max’s ball nutted up against the tree trunk in the initial camera shots? It looked like the ball was a good 2-3 inches away from it later on when he made his shot. Am I seeing things or what? No one else saw it this way?

White privilege ... they came out and moved his ball for him.

What in the world do you think happen?

Yeah, I saw it too, but nothing untoward going on, just a camera angle that changed maybe—I don’t know?—180 or 270 degrees from when they showed it after his first shot landed to before he hit his second shot. That’s why I said a page or two back I thought he was going to have to hit it left handed with an upside down iron. That’s what the first camera angle made it look like, but no way the ball was moved, just an optical illusion with the first shot they got of it.

The ball was never hard up against the tree. Camera angle made it appear that way. See pictures below or check the video.

From what I could find online, they are sycamore trees

Exactly correct! Here is a good bit of trivia, Humphrey Bogart (For you kids on here he was an actor way back in the day, starred in such classics as "Casablanca" "The Maltese Falcon" "The Treasure of Sierra Madre" and "In a Lonely Place" to name a few I would urge y'all to at least watch one), who was good player in his own right used to sit underneath a sycamore to the right of hole 12 every year during their tournament and watch the players come through, he was there so often it became known as "Bogie's Tree." Also another sad bit of trivia, the actor who portrayed Major Strasser in "Casablanca" Conrad Veidt (I am not 100 percent that is the person but I think so) passed away from a heart attack while playing at Riviera.

Its called lens compression. Telephoto lenses squish things in the foreground and background together. The cameras at the tee and green are at least up to 1000mm zoom if not 2000mm. It's part of why undulations are so hard to film. Human eyes are around 22mm to 50mm depending how you slice it.

Just finished the recording... gawd. Homa games, but man does he walk around like there’s loud noises happening all around him. And Finau... this is getting painful to watch. Sam crash and Burns mustn’t be too thrilled with how he finished either.

Meltdowns aside, the announcers are hitting a groove. Nantz gets out of the way when it’s time to hit shots; Faldo made two great calls on 18 with Homa, and Dottie is the best in the business. Can’t remember one thing Nobilo said all week, that didn’t involve he being made fun of. In the JV game, Gannon has got to go. The look on his face when anyone else is talking.. even six time major champion Sir Nick.. it’s almost like something from a movie with an annoying know-it-all.

I always wanted MaX to get a sponsored bag by Honma and use some wide red gaf tape and put a big "X" over the n!

If not for real Tour play....at least there's commercial opportunity with the Tour on that scene...🤪

I have become a huge Homa fan. He is a great golfer and has a great sense of humor.
Congrats on beating a good field. I really like Finau as well, would have been happy if he won as well.
