The PGA Tour rolls on and heads back to Riviera for the 2021 Genesis Invitational. Always my favourite event of the year to watch. Just love watching Riv on Television and the past few years have always thrown up something interesting to watch. Hosted by Tiger Woods although

I'm looking for some inside information or predictions: What will be the massive controversy this week at the tournament?

 

It seems like every week has some event that lights up the golf media and golfwrx like fireworks on the 4th of July. I'm just trying to get ready to survive the next incident. It would be nice just to have one week before the Masters where the only thing talked about is the tournament instead of flame throwers from 20 paces (or 20 posts) over someone or something.

Bryson probably has a small amount of deer antler tonic mixed in with his protein shakes.

About as many as Sunjae Im, who surprised me this week by not teeing it up. When I was adding the notables, I had almost, without thinking, added his name in there. Two weeks off in a row! What is he playing at 😂

The Pebble Beach event was the first time in 3 weeks that Cantlay played.

I mean, it doesn’t look like they have a Celeb Pro-Am lined up this year with Mark Wahlberg and Paige Spiranic so, really, what would the point in showing up be?! 😂

Angus Flanagan, an English Amatuer playing at the University of Minnesota made the field yesterday after winning the Collegiate Showcase in a Playoff.

 

Such a cool idea that they have at the Genesis. I am not sure if there is footage of it anywhere but, I have to think that it would be worth their while covering it and showing it on TV. What else is there to watch on a Monday in February?

Angus deserves mention in the notable names section just for that name.

 

I seem to remember GC covering this event at some point, but that was probably before Universal bought them and started slashing budgets.

Actually, I was pretty good pitcher, had this curve that started at the batters head and dropped off the table. Course, if it didn’t curve, the batter would get chin music. Theyd get pretty mad about that😂
